Lucky! I'd love to have a Tesla. But unless my money situation takes a big turn for the better soon, my next car will probably just be an efficient mazda or a hybrid.

Also, I just bought a vitamix. It's a beast. I want to smoothie all the things. Do you lovely people have any favorite smoothie recipes? Fruit/veg mixtures are welcome, non-dairy preferred (tho I'll just sub almond milk and pretend).

I don't have any specific smoothie recipes, but I do like to mix in about half a cup of cucumber into a lot of stuff I do - helps me knock out a serving of vegetables, and brightens up almost everything I put it in.

Bac0n, Scar... I'm in town for a few days at the beginning of March. Let's rock.

I'm in town for one night right now at the W Foshay (so cheap for right now, I doubt I'll get to stay again) and sitting on the 27th floor of the Prohibition Bar. Bartender gave me a list of places she recommended. I'll have to share and see what you think. She seemed pretty trustworthy.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

Wow, that's a fantastic spot you're at right now - one block away from Nicollet, which has all sorts of great spots. And yeah, lets meet up in when you're back in town.

Driven mad by the reaction to Ultron, and now the results of the Presidential election, and all of the idiots on Twitter, he has obviously fled social media and sought solace and sanity in the "safe space" of our little hidden corner of the 'net.
Giving up in 2020. Who cares.

The world economy has collapsed. Food, natural resources and oil are in short supply. A police state, divided into paramilitary zones, rules with an iron hand
Kudos to whomever wrote that for the 2017 movie forum

I was actually just reading about Matt Damon and he’s like, ‘There’s a culture of outrage.’ I’m like, ‘Well, they have a reason to be outraged.’ I think it’s a lot of dudes just being scared. They’re like, ‘What if I did something and I didn’t realize it?’ I’m like, ‘Deal with it.’

So, uh, what's everyone up to right now? Watching TV?

I'm somewhere where someone is watching, and I can't escape it. It's horrible.

Got home from work a little bit ago. Made some coffee, playing Mad Max. Seemed appropriate.

Watching The Impossible on Netflix. Seems appropriate.

I got in on an overseas flight pretty much right when Trump was being sworn-in and part of me was thinking "hey, maybe there will be a coup and I'll get stuck at Hartsfield-Jackson like Tom Hanks in The Terminal". No dice.

Somehow haven't gone to Facebook once all day. Seemed appropriate.

EDIT: That said, I just realized The CW is making a TV drama based on Archie Comics and the restraint employed to keep from expressing my shocked confusion on social media is god-like.

At least 30-35% is flat-out nuts, yes. But today's protests were the most encouraging thing I've seen in quite some time.

Dealing with family that are rabid Trumpys is infuriating and depressing. Its gonna be a good four years for whiskey distilleries.

I don't think Trump will last a year, let alone four. Although whiskey would probably be necessary for a Pence presidency as well.

It occurs to me that, during the scene in The Abyss where they try to revive Lindsay after she drowned, they really ought to have gone to get the Army medic guy to help out. Maybe he could have told them not to bother shocking a heart that is in asystole.
