If I'm writing a paper or something, then I'll definitely italicize. Here, I usually just leave them in standard font, or put them in bold. I like the bold because, to be honest, I don't always read everything everyone posts, but if I'm skimming I can instantly see what movies are being discussed.
Wishful thinking, perhaps; but that is just another possible definition of the featherless biped.
I concede to the merit of this more utilitarian function, but I feel the garishness outweighs the usefulness. :PQuoting Duncan (view post)

I don't know what scares me more, the fact that this author is most likely racist or that the stories are probably true.

Read through a bit, and it seems like that teacher only has a few years experience with Blacks, and thats all with one school. Hardly enough to write anything of significance.Quoting number8 (view post)

Blacks often make up their own jingles,
and it was not uncommon for 15 black
boys to swagger into a classroom,
bouncing their shoulders and jiving back."
Next time I pass a young black on the streets of Charleston, I'll ask him to rap me a jingle.

What's up with that blogger's male-power angle? Totally weird.
What if entire posts are in bold thus giving no additional weight to movie titles? Personally, I always bold movie titles for the same reason Duncan mention.Quoting Amnesiac (view post)
EDIT: I actually just realized that I usually italicize movies here and only use bold in my screening log. Doesn't bother me either way, but I do get annoyed by people who don't include the director or year in their signatures because I'll often recognize a title (or wonder what version of the film it is, ie Hamlet) and have to do needless IMdB searching to jog my memory as to who directed it.
Then get offline and have it, buddy! Congrats.Quoting Sven (view post)

So I am starting to see the downside of social networking sites. I told you guys about how I broke up with my girlfriend a week ago, well, my facebook site went to "blank" on the relationship status after a day or two, I don't check myspace at all anymore so that was still listed as "in a relationship". So God forbid I decide to change it tonight, well, they don't have a "blank" status so I was forced to change it to single(which technically I am), I shit you not 2 minutes after doing that there was a shit storm rained on me via email and phonecall.
I just find it funny because I don't really use these site other than to put funny links on my friends or coworkers walls, but I guess I have forgotten how serious this social networking mess has become.

Wimbledon men's final starting soon! Will Federer win his 15th Grand Slam title?
Had a great 4th of July, but the stomach is gurgling, and the digestion isn't working all that well. Ew... Smells like rotten eggs, barbecue sauce, beer, and a dead Russian.
My toes (well, the index and the middle toe on the left foot) are broken, and I'm completely depressed. There's nothing that exacerbates mental anomie than physical immobility.
I'm miserable.
I'm writing for Slant Magazine now, so check out my list of reviews.
Hopefully I'll have the energy to update my signature soon.
