Last week I farted just as one of the office gals was walking through my door. Talk about awkward.

Try farting by them and quickly walking away, letting them take the blame. We call it 'crop dusting'.

I basically just started feeling better from the flu I had the past few days (for the first time ever), and instead of relaxing and facilitating a quick recovery, I decided to indulge in my many, many unhealthy vices yesterday.

    I need help.

Pssh, I'm fine--just a bit of a masochist. It's all in good fun, until I die of old age at 42.

Well, then, I will rewrite your post in my head so it says that you drank chicken soup and took up crocheting.

SPEAKING OF, because my family won't shut up about my chicken soup, I've been asked to make chicken soup for 30 people on Sunday.

And when I say "I've been asked" I mean that my parents were asked if I would do it, and they said yes.

I'm intimidated by this. That's a lot of chicken soup. I'm going to have to spend most of Saturday making broth, and there's no way I have a pot big enough.
    ...and the milk's in me.

At that point, its easier to just acknowledge it and laugh. It's an easy laugh!

We left for vacation yesterday. A few days in the Smokey Mountains, a few days on the Outer Banks, a few days in Colonial Willimsburg, and then a few days in Pittsburgh visiting my sister and seeing a Pirates game. Be back around July 1st. Don't know about internet any of those places so I probably won't be on much. See you guys when I get back!

    ritch:
Enjoy! Sorry you have to spend time in Pittsburgh, but everything else sounds fun.

I like that you call them office gals. You're straight out of Mad Men, Benny.

Not knowing what Mad Men is, I will take that as a compliment.

Just one of the very few reasons television isn't 110% completely worthless. Good stuff.

Two thoughts that have come up while I've been at work today:

    1. I cannot, cannot, cannot take your call seriously if it's prerecorded.

    2. I wish I had the self control to keep snacks at my office without just gobbling them all up immediately.

If I get a call that tells me to hold on the line because someone has something important to tell me, I hang up. If it's that important someone will personally talk to me on the phone.

I have a problem when I go grocery shopping, and I buy a bunch of cool food stuffs. I have to control myself, and not tear through everything I bought by the next day.

The best show on television. About Madisson Ave. advertising in the early 60s - whiskey in the office, oggling the secretaries as they bend over to pick up a file, you know, the good old days.

I'm loving this collection of minigames:

Some are much better than others, but the best are both addicting and oddly beautiful. My favorites are Winterbells and The Perilous Voyage.

I got the Parks & Recreation job! Huzzah!

It's just production assistant work, but the producer told me I'll be reporting to the studio and ferrying scripts and helping in the edit bays.

I am going to celebrate now by eating ice cream sandwiches and watching The Midnight Meat Train.

I was actually just reading about Matt Damon and he’s like, ‘There’s a culture of outrage.’ I’m like, ‘Well, they have a reason to be outraged.’ I think it’s a lot of dudes just being scared. They’re like, ‘What if I did something and I didn’t realize it?’ I’m like, ‘Deal with it.’

I use it but I haven't done anything to involved with it. I just use it for tracking films I've seen and other lists like that. I think it works fine.

It's okay. I don't understand why it doesn't have page breaks.

Oh. I meant like it actually shows you where the page ends, like Word's "Print Layout" view.

Ah, okay. I hate that view. I always use Normal View or Page View.
