What's interesting about Natal not requiring a controller, unlike the Wii or the new PS3 motion wand thing, is that you already have a controller. They didn't demo this during the press conference, but they talked about it in interviews afterwards. The great thing about the tech is that it does not supplant regular controllers. You can sit on your couch playing games with your regular Xbox 360 controller and also use Natal at the same time. It does a lot more than just waggle controls for "nongames." Like head tracking, voice recognition, etc. For other stuff like Wii Sports style games, anything can become a controller.

Agreed that Perfect Dark may be the best use of multiplayer ever.

Although there were a few levels where it was too easy to dominate with that X-Ray gun.

timesplitters 3 has my favorite multiplayer ever. makes sense since it is a free radical game

Praise the lord. This might mean that it's going to be merely solid rather than a legitimately awe-inspiring entry in the Metroid saga. Given that I sold my Wii, I need not despair just yet.

I just started Dead Space. The aliens look a bit generic and appear rather rapidly, but I'll post my further thoughts in the days/weeks ahead.

One hour and thirty minutes into the game, and I'm beginning to succumb to its tremendous atmosphere, fabulous lighting effects, terrifying sound design and cool gameplay mechanics such as the kinetic pull. I don't want to get into an argument about whether this is better than Resi Evil 5, but I understand why this is more in the spirit of the original Capcom games than part 5. I love how fragile Isaac sounds and looks when his health is nearly depleted. Just moments ago I entered a zero G section of the ship in search of explosives and holy crap is it nerve-rattling! Espesh with that oxygen counter on the back of my suit.

Almost have unlimited ammo for S&W M500 (uber-duper Magnum). Once thats done, I'll have unlimited P226 (powerful regular pistol) and unlimited M3 (shotgun).

That makes it a helluva lot easier for neophyte gamers to play. Plus now I'll beat it on veteran level, and then maybe professional.

Don't freak out over Milo. That video is bullshit. She's just doing the things Milo's programmed to recognize, and it's apparently quite limited. It's not real advanced AI. It's just like any other game character, just programmed to recognize voice patterns instead of button inputs.

But a lot of people think the girl in the pic might be some kind of living sword thing. That would be interesting...
