Within the next month or two I will (finally) be ditching my '90 Buick Regal (same car, only mine is a darker maroon and much more beat up in its appearance):

...for a '99 Honda Civic (looks exactly like this, in excellent condition):

Oh boy, I can't wait! ritch:

As scary as any form of cancer can be, testicular cancer is very treatable and actually rarely fatal (more than 90% of those diagnosed are cured). Stay optimistic, and hopefully the antibiotics clear everything up and your fears are put to rest.

    FUCK GUITAR HERO!

    It sucks.
Since this is obviously wrong, I can only assume the frustration of KF beating you every time has led to this unfortunate outburst.

I have heard that the latest iteration of Guitar Hero is disappointing.

We didn't play each other. She played Quick Play three times and couldn't hit a note. She can't make her hands do two separate things. I commented a bit about this in the video game thread.

If Rock Band weren't coming out, I think people would be more positive about GH3. It is quite good, we got together and beat it last weekend and had a blast. However, when stacked up against Rock Band, it just feels kind of cheap. Rock Band is far more elegant, has a much cleaner interface, and simply feels more professional. In many ways, GH3 feels like the juvenile version of RB. For some odd reason they added in some boob-jiggling physics for the female rockers, and the whole thing feels too much like some junior high school boy's fantasies. It's also kind of ugly to look at. It also felt as if some of the timing was off, or different, like the newly designed engine read the notes a bit differently. The new GH3 guitar totally rocks though.

I've read that it is very buggy, so maybe this is what you were noticing without realizing it.

So I got back from the doctor's about 20 minutes ago.

He gave me a prescription for anitbiotics to start tomorrow morning. He says if the pain hasn't started to go away by Monday, he wants me to come back in for an ultrasound to check for anything malignant, since he did feel a lump.

If the ultrasound shows anything, then a biopsy will be done, at which point it will be decided whether or not an operation is needed.

I know I'm getting ahead of myself, but colour me scared.
Gross. My roommates got a pet mouse. Luckily, my other roommate hates the scavengers, so they keep it in the ball thing if it's outside their room. They're freaking lazy though, so I assume it'll get out soon enough in which case there will be no hesitation in throwing it outside.

What's the point of a pet rat?

I think you may have quoted the wrong message when you told your rat story...
"All right, that's too hot. Anything we can do about that heat?"

    "Rick...it's a flamethrower."

No, we didn't encounter any bugs, it just has a slightly different feel than the original GH games. Once I got use to it, it was fine, but I did notice a slight variation in the timing when compared to the other two games.

I love the feeling of perfectly planning which classes you are going to register for and having every thing go as planned.

    That happened to me once.

The rest of the times I had to scramble for special permissions, department signatures, and classes which had closed unexpectedly.

    I rocked at doing this.

In fact, the school wanted me to be a Scheduling Advisor because I was so good at doing it. I denied.

I remember the semester I changed majors and dropped all of my MWF classes. That was a GREAT semester. I went to class pretty much all day on Tuesday and Thursday, but a four day weekend every week was sweet.

If you think you're having a bad day, just think about what happened to this young one awhile back:

Last time I had that feeling I messed up my registration TWICE. I accidently registered two classes at the same time, and then pressed the wrong button on the site. I had to phone in to fix things, and I got the same person twice!

I was just in the lunchroom to get some breakfast at work, and Marcus walked in (the only black guy who works here), opened the condiments drawer, and said "Did we get rid of all the crackers here?"

I put my head down, and couldn't help but start to giggle. He had a great laugh out of it, too.

This morning I was watching "I Love the 90s" on VH1 and it mentioned The Fresh Prince of Bell Air. I realized right then and there that for now I believe its the best thing Will Smith has ever done. Almost 15 years later that show is still funny and the theme song is still insanely catchy. Plus Smith actually showed a regular knack for comedy on that show as well.

    I'm so pissed off.

Last Friday I went to the bank and paid my $100 bill for my MasterCard.

Then on Wednesday this week I tried to buy something on Amazon and the card was rejected. So I called MasterCard to find out what was going on, and apparently they never received any payment

So I contacted my bank and it turns out they sent my payment to someone else's card!! How the hell do you screw that up??

Today they called me to tell me that they sent off my payment via courier and that it could take up to 10 days to arrive at the credit card company - meanwhile, my bill is due on the 20th (next Tuesday).

So I told them very sternly "well I refuse to make any late payments or accept damages to my credit history because you guys screwed up" and they just told me "well sorry sir but that's not our responsibility".

    AAARRRGGGHHH!!!

Contact your credit card company. If you have a good track record, they are usually pretty forgiving of that sort of thing.
