What is the consensus here on posting spoilers to games? When is it OK to do so?

I'd always spoiler it, myself, unless it's "and then Mario beats Bowser and saves the Princess!"

Let me put this into context. Someone made this post after a youtube video and I called him out on it and he got all defensive like a gamer typically does and started dropping F bombs at me. Don't read it if you care about the Assassins Creed story. I obviously got beefed with the last line of his post....

AC1: Fun new game and franchise.
AC2: The same as above but with some cool new gadgets and a character that's vaguely interesting.
ACB: What? Ezio again? <sigh> OK, fine!
ACR: I AM SICK AND TIRED OF THIS MUTHAFUCKIN' ASSASSIN IN MY MUTHAFUCKIN' GAMES! (But at least they've made Altair vaguely interesting now).

Well, I don't care about spoilers at all for anything ever, and find this whole modern SPOILER! WARNING stuff completely idiotic, especially when I'm actively involved in communities that talk about things. If you opt in to talk about things you like on the internet, the onus on avoiding spoilers is on you. If you don't want to read/hear spoilers, stay out of communities that talk about those things.

But I'm pretty sure I'm the only one.

If you're using spoiler quotes then it shouldn't be a problem anytime.

Started Halo 4. Pumped to get this going. Early impressions are very good. Crisp graphics and sound. Started right away on Legendary!

Hope you enjoy it! It's one of my absolute favorites from this past gen. I played through the campaign 4 times, and spent nearly 100 hours in MP (even with my poopie internet!).

Really love the mythology they build for a whole new story, and the graphics and sound are tops.

I loved the new musical compositions, and how they only ever hinted at the theme song we all know - a string or choir bit hear and there to tie it all together, but other than that it's all new.

Since games generally don't have their own threads, I think it'd be a good idea to keep the spoiler tag. I wouldn't have been happy if I came across the Last of Us ending.

I'm enjoying Halo 4, but it hasn't grabbed me yet. Everything feels incredibly familiar, like I've played this game before with installation after installation to soldier through. I'm sure the story is going to become better and there'll be a few surprises in store, but I'm waiting for something great. I'm having fun though and it's a meaty challenge on legendary.

I don't know if I mentioned before that I've been amassing quite the Wii game catalog, I just hit my 200th game today. I'm actually going to try to get a complete collection. My wife asked me why the Wii and I think it's because it's thought of as a not cool game system and there are so many weird ass games for it.

What does a complete collection mean? Wiki tells me the Wii has over 1200 titles.

Well, for the first time in their lives my kids showed both responsibility and restraint with their money... by saving up to buy a PS4. Just ordered it today along with FIFA and Killzone. I'd be more excited if there were better games available. Also, considering the nightmare stories I've read, I'm hoping like hell it works perfectly out of the box.

Please tell me this system comes with a HDMI cable.

Best of a gen would be so hard.

To make things easier I'd limit it to consoles, and to make things even easier, limit that to only the two home consoles that I owned: 360 and PS3, with one Wii title.

Unfortunately, the only worth "Killzone" has is as a tech demo. It's a bloody awful game.
