Has anybody played Infamous 2? I just beat the first Infamous - brilliant game - and all there is to do now is to collect all the shards, which doesn't really interest me.
Yeah, Infamous 2 was a huge improvement on the first.
This is a signature, I assume.

What difficulty are you on? I've tried classic Ironman a few times and pulled a Spun, er, rage quit.

    Normal.

I can't make it past the first crashed UFO.

Play it on easy first time through. Also, if you don't care about achievements, you can unlock some 'legends' by changing a soldier's name.

The most important thing is to have experienced soldiers (my must-haves are supports with field medic and snipers with squad sight, then heavies with HEAT ammo later), so make sure to bring your veterans on lots of missions. Then protect them.

    Started Hitman:Absolution today.

Got through the prologue no problem.
I then proceeded to go 100% completion on level one, ie, playing it numerous times, killing the target numerous ways. Poison (3x), sniping, explosives, etc.

I haven't even started chapter two yet.

I got a significant chunk of the game done, when I got in over my head on a mission, and my best guys got wiped out. I never played again.

Yeah, I'm totally hooked on "Far Cry 3" now.

One very obvious shortcoming which I assume is much improved in the PC version is the audio, particularly the dialogue.

The dialogue sounds like it was compressed to the max. Very tinny sounding, and it's even worse with the random characters around the camps, or the chatter of enemies.

Which is really too bad, because some of the voicework is fantastic.

The game is beautiful, though. The size of the island is truly daunting.

Actually kinda of disappointed that stealing cars and helicopters to get places is now the least efficient method of transportation in Saint's Row 4 now that super powers are involved. Now you just run/jump/glide.

Is anyone else going to be checking out "Killer is Dead"?

Never fear - GTA V is only a few weeks out, so you'll get to sratch that itch real good.

Started up Resistance 3. I enjoyed the previous two games for their settings and cool weapons. The graphics in this one appear a bit muddy with big, splodgy textures, but the art direction looks ace, plus it's really smooth. Above all, I'm glad to be playing a straightforward shooter again after the bewilderingly huge, distracting (in a good way though) worlds of Far Cry 3's jungle and Arkham's city.

All right, so I've had Saints Row IV for a week. Here are my full thoughts:

I like the game a lot, but it's missing something that I can't put my finger on. I don't enjoy it quite as much as III, and I think it might be because your character is SO overpowered that it makes some of the more "mundane" things in the game, like stealing vehicles and shootouts, a little dull. There's no way to push the wanted level to the top and keep it there, because the game eventually sends in a boss for you to fight to end the battle. Because of this, there can be no never-ending battle.

I wish the side-missions were more than "do this group of challenges on the map."

At times it feels really rushed, sometimes the animations are messed up.

And the game freezes fairly frequently, which has killed my interest in playing a few times.

Made it to level 50 in Payday 2. Biggest problem with the game is you cannot pick your missions. They pop up randomly on your safehouse computer and if you want to do a specific mission, you probably won't see any that pop up for 15-25 minutes. It's very annoying.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

Elder Scrolls Online is going to have a fifteen dollars a month subscription fee. This is on top of the $60 dollar price tag to purchase the game. It's also on top of the PSN subscription fee that folks are required to pay for online gaming.

While I am excited for the game, am impressed with how it's looking and playing based on the demos I've seen, and will likely get it when it comes out, I can't help but feel that the creators of the game have doomed it to failure.

If a game has a monthly fee, the game should be free.

    End of story.

They prob haven't doomed the game to failure but they have doomed their role out model and will probably have to change it shortly thereafter.

Played a sim called Game Dev Tycoon for about three hours today. It eventually got repetitive, and it was always too easy, but I had a really good time there for a bit.

I've seen a lot of Resistance 3 before. In the previous 2 games, but also other franchises. And yet, it's an absolute blast. It takes a couple of detours into darker, unexpected territory and it's exciting as all fuck.

Meh, I didn't much care for Resistance 3. Thought it was the weakest of the trilogy.

For 360 owners, "Magic: The Gathering" is currently free on XBL, and there's a big Rockstar sale.

I got "Midnight Club: LA" for $7.75, and the RDR "Undead Nightmare Pack" for $9.99.

"Far Cry 3" is the most open world fun I've had since "Just Cause 2" (also on a tropical island!).

I'm finding myself afflicted by "Grand Theft Auto syndrome", wherein I am growing less and less interested in the main story, and more and more interested in exploring every nook and cranny of the island, and finding every single relic, lost letter and loot box I can.

In the story, I'm at the point where I just rescued Oliver (snipe-covering him from a vantage point, then escaping by boat), which I think is only a couple of hours of actual campaign gameplay. But I've played for nearly 12 hours.

I doubt it'll have the "100 hours and counting" staying power of "Skyrim" or "Dark Souls", but I'm sure I'll get close to the gametime I put into "Just Cause 2" before calling it quits (about 30 hours or so).

Played through Spec Ops: The Line. Liked aspects of it. I thought the auto-critiquey stuff was done quite well. The only problem is you actually have to play the game it's critiquing, which is entirely duck shoot shoot duck shoot shoot duck.
