I wonder how high that's going to be on Watashi's list?
Heh. I'd say probably Top 15.

He said he was just cleaning it and it went off, and I believe him.
Maybe this is how Batman is going to die on the comics. Maybe he's into that auto-erotic thing, or what ever. You know, the INXS-guy thing.

Wow...I had the king of ignorant customers come in today.

He came in, looked around for a bit, brought a bag of rolls up to the cash and said to me "wow...everything here looksw so good...no wonder you're overweight!"

"All right, that's too hot. Anything we can do about that heat?"

    "Rick...it's a flamethrower."

And you didn't punch him? Good for you showing restraint.

No, but I kind of threw the buns at him.

You could have hit him with the mother of all comebacks:

Well, the jerk store called and they're running out of you!

No, I think that'd be a little too harsh.

If you get him to MatchCut, I'd totally give him some negative rep for you meg.

Really though, is there anything more fun than cleaning your love gun? If there is, I haven't discovered it yet.
I prefer someone else cleaning it. Sometimes its also fun to put it in their holster too, but you have to be careful not to let it go off in there or they may get mad. Of course, when you worry too much about that, you could end up shooting them in the stomach and that's awkward too.

They are CVS pharmacies within two blocks of each other on a local thoroughfare. I suppose they're on opposite sides of the street. :P

I totally need to vent because crappy day to the max. I was supposed to shoot my film this weekend, everything was planned out, I mean... like crazy organized. Then I am stupid enough to think I have to pick up my equipment at 5pm, when it's really noon. I lose my reservation, everything, then an actor bails out. I try to scramble for three hours, phoning everyone/everywhere to try and get camera and light set. Someone was nice enough to lend a camera, but in the end it wasn't worth trying to shoot this weekend because of the limited time and resources. Things are pushed back a week, and I embarassed myself by trying to contact everyone I know, looking like a complete ditz, including this one guy who is super talented who I've had to bail on TWICE already because of really unlucky circomstances. BAH!!!!!!!!

Yea, it's a bummer and in my efforts to save it I advertised it to the world. I think I'll just waste my weekend away eating chocolate and watching movies...

Oh! I forgot a story I wanted to tell you guys.

Yesterday I had to help this Native woman in my class give a presentation on Native Representation in Canadian Media.

She is INCREDIBLY gung-ho about native rights, and how they are neglected all the time - to the point where it gets a little ridiculous, because she'll turn everything around to make it seem like an injustice to Natives.

Anyways, she's giving this presentation, going on and on and how "her people" are misrepresented with racist stereotypes, yet she CONSTANTLY referred to them as "Indians".

    I found that quite hilarious.

I walked into a clothing store tonight that smelled like pesticide. I thought I'd get used to it, but after a couple minutes, I swore it was getting worse.

I've been having my first experience with the medical world this last week. What was a seemingly innocuous pimple on my side for about a year suddenly erupted over the weekend into this large, incredibly painful red blob of...something. I go to emergency care and they diagnose it as a something-or-the-other abscess that they can't do anything about for several days, so come back in a few days and they'll lance it (luckily, antibiotics and pain killers were perscribed).

I got in last night and get cut open and drained and a tube stuck in so it keep draining. I essentially bled all night (thankfully my boyfriend was sweet enough to play nurse and change the bandages several times throughout the night).

I go in today and they remove the tube and so I have a gaping hole on my side. I go in tomorrow for god knows what.

On the plus side, I've learned I have a higher tolerance for pain than I expected (the nurse: "most people are kicking in pain by now") but I still can't stand the sight of blood--I literally almost passed out just looking for about ten seconds at my side in the mirror. Needless to say,I haven't looked at it since.
    Memories of the Future

"Criticism can be monumentally creative, of course, at times highly artistic, highly personal. But it rarely relates to the work of art being assessed. It is an expression of the critic's own subjectivity." -Joyce Carol Oates, Journals

I just applied for a mysterious job advertised in the classified section of the paper. Here's exactly how their ad reads:

    VIDEO STORE

Are you looking for part time work, with flexible hours?

We are currently looking for someone to work evening shifts during week and weekends. If you would like to work in a fun and relaxed working environment like your local video store then please apply to: ryan_truelove@hotmail.com
    I'd say there's a 98% chance that this is a porn store.

While it may seem contradictory this is what many Natives refer to themselves as... I don't know if you have ever read any Sherman Alexie, but he frequently, if not exclusively refers to himself as Indian.

Most of the Native American folk I've known refer to themselves either by their tribe/nation, or in more general terms as Indian. I thought it was kinda weird at first, but hey, they seem comfortable with it, and they're proud of who they are, so more power to 'em, far as I'm concerned.
