One weapon short of a gold trophy on Demon's Souls. Beaten it twice now, close to doing it a third time. Time to take a break and play some Tiger Woods.
Wicked impressed with you too. (you and DD are kings here)

So I started playing Mass Effect 2 after duke's bitching and surprise, surprise, I'm enjoying it.

I'm using a walkthrough because everything is way too massive, but I'm mainly playing this as a story-first, gameplay-second run.

I'd be curious to hear your thoughts. I have it at home but I haven't played it or the first one.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

I use walkthroughs on every game I play. I don't do it to soften the challenge, but I don't have the patience to find everything everywhere.
    Sure why not?

STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI (Rian Johnson) - 9
STRONGER (David Gordon Green) - 6
THE DISASTER ARTIST (James Franco) - 7
THE FLORIDA PROJECT (Sean Baker) - 9
LADY BIRD (Greta Gerwig) - 8

I totally understand using one for Demon's Souls or Final Fantasy, but Mass Effect is probably the game you don't ever need to use one, unless you want to know how your decisions affect in game events.

It's much more action oriented than the first one, which was more exploration.

Honestly for me, the second one had a knock against it right off the bat because the world is no longer new. A huge part of the first game for me was the discovery of this incredible, fully realized world. It was awe-inspiring.

In this game it's just like "oh hey, back in Rapture...neat!".
"All right, that's too hot. Anything we can do about that heat?"

    "Rick...it's a flamethrower."

I actually like the second game better; I found it far more fun to play, thanks in a large part to the dual wielding. This simple addition made the game more enjoyable, and offered up more creativity in the way you deal with the enemies. It felt like a more tactical game.

I heard the best part of Bioshock 2 is DLC Minerva's Den.

I really need to play it because the first Bioshock is one of my favorite games.

Demons' Souls servers to close end of May.

This is a reminder that as games start to rely on these connectivity features, it will be almost impossible to preserve the game for future generations. Anyone can fire up a NES and play Super Mario Bros. in the same exact way that I did growing up. However, in 20 years from now a curious gamer will not be able to have a similar experience with Demons' Souls. I find that troubling.

Morion blade. I'm out of sharpstone to make a sword +8, and I, uh, killed the vendor who sells them. Not in the mood for farming right now.

What can I say? I needed to turn my guy pure black to get Mephistopheles to show up to get the last of the rings.

Is the easiest way to get pure black to kill all the NPCs?

Yep. The Crestfallen Warrior is a good one (blue phantom in front of first arch stone in the Nexus), and then the Worshipper of God. I ended up killing the Filthy man vendor (whoops) 'cause I forgot I still needed one weapon.

You could consult a wiki for their recommendations and the amount of character shift you get based on the NPC.

If you want to affect world tendency, play offline.

Does the final boss ever get harder, or does he always just lay on the ground and do nothing?

He has an attack, but its pretty pathetic. I consider the final boss of Archstone #1 to be the Final Boss.

Might actually try going toe to toe with him this time, instead of dancing and pumping him full of arrows.

I just walked up to him and bashed him a few times with my flame sword.

When I was talking about dancing, I was referring to this guy:

The final boss I'll probably just go bare knuckled next time.

I had a lot of fun with Bioshock 2. Yes it doesn't have the wonder of playing through the first game but it's still awesome in it's own right. Minerva's Den was great also.
