Fallout 3 GOTY for $10 is a pretty fantastic Steam deal if you haven't yet played it. Also picking up Amnesia for $5.

"Borderlands" has some serious glitches when it comes to online co-op play.

My character is level 42 and I'm on my first playthrough. I played co-op last night with a friend who is level 24 on his 3rd playthrough.

Since he is technically the lower level, it adjusts to him, so all of his unfinished quests were added to my log. However, because I've already completed them, I cannot get rid of them.

Even after leaving the game (and restarting my 360) the quests are still there, unable to be removed.

Anyone who has scene this game's quests log can attest that that really sucks, as its not exactly the most user-friendly interface, and now looks like a complete mess which I have to sort through every time I get a new quest.

Still need to get on that. Looks like an amazing game. I'd say go with Italian language and English subs to really bring the authenticity home.

Nobody cares about sports videogames here.

That said, I think I'm done with football games for now. At least until they decide to retool the system. I've been playing the same game for 3-4 seasons now.

I'm excited about this new tackling system. I played the demo a little and it's pretty neat.

Not bad. I hardly doubt it'll beat FIFA. Let me know if they improve the dynasty mode.

 Who the hell is Donny Deutsch? And isn't one of the women answering Kathy Lee Gifford, of all people?

Silly question, silly answer. All 3 people involved in the clip are significantly older than 40. Of course they wouldn't be able to relate.

(It always strikes me as interesting that 35-40ish is always the "average" age of game players, which is right smack dab in the middle of a generation that grew up playing Atari, Activision, and Coleco.)

I was actually just reading about Matt Damon and he’s like, ‘There’s a culture of outrage.’ I’m like, ‘Well, they have a reason to be outraged.’ I think it’s a lot of dudes just being scared. They’re like, ‘What if I did something and I didn’t realize it?’ I’m like, ‘Deal with it.’

I didn't realize the new Xcom game was a FPS.

    http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2...kanye-west.ars

"The '90s generation of gamers all love Xcom and we own the IP, so we thought OK, what do we do with it? Every studio we had wanted to do it and each one had its own spin on it," Christoph Hartmann, the president of 2K Games, told MCV. "But the problem was that turn-based strategy games were no longer the hottest thing on planet Earth. But this is not just a commercial thing—strategy games are just not contemporary."
    Oh.

Man, "Comic Jumper" is hilarious and great fun. I love Twisted Pixel.

And EWO - I am starting to see what you meant about "American McGee's Alice". It's pretty disheartening to come back to a game I loved 10 years ago and find it, well, kind of sucks.

I did finally start playing Madness Returns though and that is really good. Fairly long also. I just finished the second chapter (out of 5) and I've already put in 6+ hours.

Sweet. At least I have a better sequel to look forward to.

So much of the frustration in the original could at least be tempered if it didn't have such a terrible save system. It's abysmal.

Having to replay an entire area because of missing a single jump really, really sucks.

Especially since the poor controls and camera cause you to miss the jump. In Madness Returns if you miss a jump you start right back at the starting platform which is great.

Holy crap, the poor reviews for "Aliens vs. Predator" are way off. While not the most visually stunning game, it rocks.

I LOVE the multiplayer mode "Infestation". So awesome.

Multiplayer was the only positive for me. The story was redundant and flat. Esp the marine campaign.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

My tips on how to get good at pinball fx2. I had low scores for a long time but then I did this. Take one of the tables you like more then any other, preferably one in which you've gotten multiball before. The ones I chose were Pasha and Secrets of the Deep. I chose Pasha first and didn't become as good but then did Secrets and felt like a badass. But once you've chosen the one that you are going to get good at, familiarize yourself with the table and then going to the pause menu, go the how to play and click on that and then go to "rule sheet" it will then give you some instructions on how to play the specific table like how to start missions, what everything does, etc. Once you've figured that out then you can start aiming instead of just throwing the ball everywhere. I recommend secrets of the deep simply because it has two easy and one medium way in which to get multiball and so because of that you'll get multiball a lot and that will help you practice how to play with multiballs, most people really can't control them but practicing them will make it less chaotic and a bit more fun and chaotic.
