On to some actual game talk. I got Sherlock Holmes vs Jack the Ripper sent to me from gamefly and besides the fact that it's the only 360 game I've ever seen that you can't install their has been some more weirdness. In the first two minutes of the game I had already gotten an 80 point achievement. In just the opening "cutscene" of the game there were at least 5 spelling errors in the subtitles. And the gameplay is basically Sherlock Holmes doing fetch quests.

You start by going to the police station to get details on a murder. The guy there says he will give you the details if you find a bag he left at a boarding house. You go to the boarding house and the owner says he can give it to you if you find a way to keep a homeless man from sleeping in front of his window. You then have to find the man's niece and ask her to let him live there. She says she would but he has a bad cough so you have to go find the man medicine first and give it to him. All of this just to get the first item you need in the game.

Well once again I'm glad you'd much rather play games that way. I don't. I'm not gonna discuss which delivery system for games is better then the other anymore.
You state it as if it's objective fact that all the systems have strengths and weaknesses. I'm arguing that PC has the fewest weaknesses in comparison. You can jack a PC into an HD TV or a projector and get the same or better graphics than any console. I'm also not towing any party lines here because I don't give a shit if it's mac, PC, linux or whatever. I consider consoles a financial rip off (the best being PS3 because at least you get a blu-ray player with it). If you don't then you don't, that doesn't mean I"m trolling. And if you don't want to talk about it then don't, but as long as you keep posting about it, I will respond.

With gameplay like that, I'm surprised it didn't take E3 by storm!

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

You are trolling. You're stating your opinion is the only right one.
    a) You do not seem to grasp what trolling is.

"In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory[citation needed], extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[2] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion."

Discussing consoles may not be a conversation you enjoy, but it is certainly not off topic. If I started posting U MAD BRO gifs, that would be trolling.

    b) Your claim that all consoles have strengths and weaknesses and that someone can not prefer one to the others is ITSELF exactly what you're accusing me of.

I never claimed consoles don't have their merits (again, PS3 especially). I merely argue that you can play a larger number of games (with controllers if you want) on any screen you want for lower cost on PCs. This is objective fact presuming that you would own a PC anyway for other purposes.

I think it's hilarious that these law officials think that Anonymous is some structured organization. They're fighting the hackers in the same way that the US Government fights the war on drugs and terrorism.

Whenever people disagree with something on the internet they just fall back on the term troll. Like people ever have different opinions on something... It's the personal insults, snide over-marks, and patronizing posts that irk me.

Well, they are an organization of individuals who engage in a lot of vigilante justice and general planned assaults on private entities. I agree with some of the attacks they do but not with their general philosophy or approach.

What Davis was getting at is that Anonymous is, well, anonymous. Anybody can claim to be part of anon, and none would be the wiser since they would be anonymous. There is no real organization to speak of, so when Sony was attacked, a letter on behalf of anon came out saying they did it as a warning, and another letter came out several days later on behalf of anon saying it wasn't them. The truth is both and neither are true. Catching any member of anon as a way to deter the whole collective is a complete 100% waste of time.

Ah, I was under the impression that while not hierarchical it was at least a collective given that I've seen interviews between 'anonymous' and different groups where they have... as you state... either taken credited for or claimed that a cyber attack was not their doing.

    In this sense....

In 2011, an elusive hacker known by the alias "Commander X" was at the center of an investigation into Anonymous by Aaron Barr. Interviewed following the attack on HBGary Federal, Commander X revealed that while Barr suspected that he was a leader of the group, he was in his own words a "peon". However, Commander X did claim to be a skilled hacker and founding member of an allied organization, the Peoples Liberation Front (PLF), a collective of hactivists founded in 1985. According to Commander X, Peoples Liberation Front acted with AnonOps, another sub-group of Anonymous, to carry out denial-of-service attacks against government websites in Tunisia, Iran, Egypt, and Bahrain. Asked about the demographics of Anonymous, Commander X indicated that the common conception of Anonymous as a youth group is a misconception. "The popular impression is....skewed. There are older people, from the direction of the Chaos Computer Club - that can if needed rein in the "kids" who appear to dominate Anon Ops." Explaining the relationship between Anonymous and the PLF, he suggested an analogy to NATO, with the PLF being a smaller sub-group that could choose to opt-in or out of a specific project. "Anon Ops and the PLF are both capable of creating huge "Internet armies". The main difference is Anon Ops moves with huge force, but very slowly because of their decision making process. The PLF moves with great speed, like a scalpel."

I guess the discrepancy is between the larger blanket term for Anonymous and Anon Ops?

What console is the best is a pretty dumb thing to be arguing about.

It's all about personal preference. I own a 360, PS3, and a PC and I owned a Wii for a year and a half. I prefer the 360 for my gaming. I love the controller, the variety of games, the variety of XBLA games and the achievement system. But at the same time I acknowledge that all of the systems have their strong points and their weak points.
    Quote Quoting Qrazy
I've owned many consoles as well (only next gen one being the wii though) and I can say with the benefit of hindsight that all other concerns aside from a financial perspective they're really a rip off (especially the wii). I'd much rather put that money towards bettering my computer. $300-500 dollars + $10 more for any given game on average + more $$$ if you're buying on sale Steam games. I also find HD TVs to be a rip off compared to projectors.

And again, you can use your Xbox 360 controller on a PC.

    http://www.microsoft.com/nz/digitall..._computer.mspx
All I did in my response to you is say that you can easily use a 360 controller on a PC and that from a financial perspective my point stands.

You're the only one making personal attacks. Stop trolling bro.

Well you can interprete that the way you want but I was trying to illustrate how obvious it is that Microsoft wants to market to kids.

    I at least apologized.

edit: I'd like to think we can joke around on these forums with out it getting immediately out of hand. So I don't see my funny GIFs as inappropriate at all.
