I just unlocked the Ratchet and Clank-esque cable slide.

I've farted around a bit finding blast shards and doing little side quests to make the territory safe, even though I'm playing evil the first time through.

Blast shards are worth finding! The cable slide gets even better when you unlock its healing ability.

I'll warn you, if you do those side-quests, those areas are cleaned up for good. They won't repopulate with bad guys, even after you've finished the game. Although, completing them does give you an enormous boost in powers.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

Hmm you're right. I could have sworn they ported UT. So it must be UT3.

So apparently "Mass Effect 2" improves on absolutely everything from the first game, creating a near-perfect and incredibly personal experience.

Side missions are all fully fleshed out now. No more shallow "go here and kill these guys" quests. Every side mission has a full narrative accompanying it, with unique characters and full worlds to explore.

Inventory and skill trees have been streamlined to allow for maximum customization, without making it a daunting task to make a character feel "yours".

And combat has been refined to provide a more shooter-like experience during these sections, while also keeping the looting aspect from the first game.

In other words, this game sounds totally baller.

I almost want to play out the rest of the original just so that I can have a better Mass Effect 2 experience, since it sounds like something I'll like.

Yeah, it sounds like that's the way to go. Apparently the story and characters in "Mass Effect 2" are altered greatly by what you have/haven't done in the first game.

"The World Ends With You" is...amazing. Quite simply, brilliant gameplay and design.

Between this and "Chinatown Wars", I'll have a hard time not abandoning my consoles.

The DS is an incredible little device.

They have exactly the same capabilities as the regular PS3's right?

The reason I ask is I remember when the PS2 slim came out, people found there were certain aspects of it that didn't quite work right. I can't remember exactly what they were, whether it was that certain games didn't work properly or what.

I'll see if I can find some info.

EDIT: Here's a Wikipedia article about some of the problems/discrepancies between the original and slim PS2's.

No alternate OS is the only difference.

But did anyone here actually installed a third party OS on their PS3?

I was actually just reading about Matt Damon and he’s like, ‘There’s a culture of outrage.’ I’m like, ‘Well, they have a reason to be outraged.’ I think it’s a lot of dudes just being scared. They’re like, ‘What if I did something and I didn’t realize it?’ I’m like, ‘Deal with it.’

It's well worth the money. Streaming a Netflix movie as I speak (for the kids).

I don't have a PS3, but I would probably want to install ubuntu if I had one.

This is what the game means, but saying more might spoil stuff that happens in the third act, and I don't know how far you are in the game.

And yeah, I finished the game this evening.

    [

Bottom line - "Mass Effect" rocks.
