I'll, uh, send you an XBox message if I get a chance to get on late this evening. Probably won't be until after 8pm pac, tho.Quoting Daniel Davis (view post)

If you had asked me about 12 years ago, I probably would have said the best fighting game ever was "Rise of the Robots".
Sure, it actually sucks. But at the time, my 10-year-old-self thought creepy-lookin' robots dukin' it out MK-style was pretty damn amazing.
"All right, that's too hot. Anything we can do about that heat?"
"Rick...it's a flamethrower."
I played Street Fighter 4 for pretty much the first time on Friday against a bunch of people who were pretty good. I had never really played any of the others but found with a little practice that I'm very good with Ken. I can pull of doing the flying back kick into a super uppercut combo every time.
It looks like 3D Realms is closing, which means the status of Duke Nukem Forever is...
No, the jokes are too obvious. I actually want this game to come out and be awesome. After thirteen years, there's no other way to end it.
Giving up in 2020. Who cares.

Me too. I wish they would at least release the game before closing, or somehow pass it on to another publisher or something.
"Duke Nukem 3D" (and, really, the whole "Duke Nukem" franchise, since I owned the old DOS games) was such a huge part of my childhood.
I would love just one more great shooter. Go out with a bang.

See, I feel this way about turn-based strategy games in general: Civilization, HoM&M, and the like.Quoting Daniel Davis (view post)

I am still itching to get me-self a copy of the "Civ." game available on the 360.
It's supposed to be pretty awesome.
There are so many games I want, but I'm learning the hard way not to buy so much shit I don't need

Meg— I'd personally avoid Civ Revolution, as it strikes me as being too cheesy. Civ 4 has a steeper learning curve, but it's scary addictive.
Shame that I don't have a computer nearly good enough for Starcraft 2.![]()

Are you sure? Blizzard games are always very scalable. I think if you can run Civ 4, you are able to run StarCraft 2 as well. Maybe just not on the highest settings.Quoting monolith94 (view post)
Civ 4 was released four years ago, and my computer was just barely able to run it then. No, I don't think I have a chance. Besides, it'd be just another time sink, when I have too many time-sinks already. It's probably for the best...
I'm actually playing the original Starcraft these days, playing some user-created single player campaigns. Pretty challenging, too!

I have CivRev, and I like it. Far more accessible than Civ4, and plus, ninja tanks. It has ninja tanks.
I mean... what the hell more needs to be said than ninja tanks?
Oh, and sorry Dan, wasn't able to do SF4 tonight. Baby patrol.

That's kind of why I've never played them.Quoting megladon8 (view post)
Although I realize now that I was lying. I have played one. It was on the Playstation, and it wasn't an FPS. It was a 3rd person shooter/adventure game, kind of like Tomb Raider, but with Duke.
