I'm thinking of following in Spun's footsteps and writing a letter to the city (or the main city newspaper) regarding the terrible mail service.
Any change in weather seems to cancel mail service. I got an e-mail notification that an Amazon package is waiting at the post office to be delivered, yet it wasn't delivered (nor was any of our other mail - letters, bills, etc.) because YESTERDAY it snowed.
And I wish I could say I was exaggerating when I talk about the days in the summer when we don't get the mail because it's raining.
This is inexcusable. Snail mail is supposed to be one of our most dependable services.
Between this and the near 2-month long transit strike in this city, I have to say my move to NYC can't come soon enough.

Today I had fish and chips for lunch. They were only okay but eating them satisfied the hunger I was feeling prior.
EDIT:ritch:
I love fish and chips.
Chips must be served with malt vinegar.

Oh God, I HATE vinegar! Keep it far away from my fish and chips. I must have tartar sauce, but NEVER vinegar.

I can't speak for vinegar, but there's nothing wrong with tartar sauce!
“What we are dealing with here is a perfect engine, er... an eating machine. It's really a miracle of evolution. All this machine does is swim and eat and make little sharks and that's all.”
I have never had fish and chips that were anything but disgusting. This is strange, because usually I have an inverted relationship between how much I love something and how good it is for me. Fish and chips = heart attack wrapped in newspaper, so I should want to consume it 24/7.
I've had fish and chips in diners in the United States, on street corners in London, and one time in a small restaurant in Liverpool that advertised themselves as being the best fish & chips in Great Britain. I couldn't even finish the plate.
All that said, vinegar is delicious and I add it to dishes all the time.
...and the milk's in me.
