Seems they only send it to users with lots of posts. I keep getting them on my old account only. Also I noticed my old account and Scar's have + symbols next to them. What does that mean? Is a - sign bad or something?

Does it have to do with the friend request you sent?

You’re the only one sent me a request. I eventually accepted it.

Let’s test this theory. You can send me another one later if you choose to.

It would appear that my hypothesis is correct.

Ugh, one of my very favorite teachers from HS (and one of the very few that I have positive memories of) is going to trial for sexual harassment of students and statutory rape.

    So fucking disheartening.

Something like that happened to my religion teacher in HS (private Catholic school system, so we had "religion" classes). He was a super-cool guy who was laidback and funny and wasn't above taking the piss out of students for things. However, there were some moments that in retrospect were kind of creepy. I think he got investigated or let go for improper behavior, but I don't know what the full extent of it was, nor if it was even true or not. But this was before MeToo exploded; I feel like there was probably some truth to the accusations.

EDIT: Found an article about it: https://www.bishop-accountability.or..._Doherty_4.htm

I had some details wrong. The accusation stems from a 1977 camping trip when the teacher was 24 and he went swimming naked with a 13-year-old and 15-year-old, plus some questionable follow-up behavior. 1970s or not, that's still not appropriate overall, especially if alone with the boys. It's interesting that the article emphasizes how much he was well-liked at school and had former students who defended him. I'll only say that a few times in his classroom, he made decisions or did things that made us uncomfortable. Some of it was probably the good kind of "teenagers questioning their opinions on difficult topics" uncomfortable. But there were other moments that felt inherently off a bit. But borderline, like it could have gone either way. Hard to judge, especially so far removed from the moment and context. But most of the time, I never got bad vibes from him overall. Seemed nice.

The details have been made public regarding my teacher (he taught history and law, at least when I was there). The transcript of texts between him and the student are pretty damning.

Putting in spoiler tags in case this is a trigger for anyone...

So our dishwasher broke this weekend and I went to Lowes to buy a new one.

They dont have any in stock and they said May would be the earliest we could get one.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

Yeah similar situation here with appliances, electronics, and a lot of outdoor gear.

I guess COVID has ruined production and replenishment of these things.

    Sorry, Duke. That sucks.

I just told a customer to "have a good weekend".

    It's 9am Monday morning.

I was up too late last night.

Sometimes when I'm watching a movie from the 70s and there's a baby, I think "That baby is pushing 50 now."

I definitely prefer this to "every animal you loved in films you grew up with is dead."
