Since I'm apparently a hipster (a 40 year old hipster who lives in what was historically a suburban retirement area), everything I do is something that a hipster does.

Age does not define hipsterness. It's not enough to have self control and just NOT buy stuff or maybe just turn off the one-click button but to make public statements where you now are punishing Amazon for being so responsive and awesome (essentially not using something for the sake of being useful) is something a hipster would do.

Some stuff is worth buying on Amazon. If you're getting a phone charger or a cable cord, you'll pay $2 or less for it on Amazon. You'll pay $20+ anywhere else.

I think that's the only type of stuff I've gotten on Amazon this year.

Is there a female equivalent of "Mr. Darcy" in the literature world for hopeless romantics to swoon over? I was thinking about this the other day and nothing came to me.
