I can't wait for Christmas break. I am going on a video game and movie watching binge....
My last final is tonight and then I get to watch all the movies.Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)
I drive a lot with my job. Today and yesterday sucked balls. I was thinking 35 was going to mimic that video this morning.
“What we are dealing with here is a perfect engine, er... an eating machine. It's really a miracle of evolution. All this machine does is swim and eat and make little sharks and that's all.”
Me too! And those people were driving WAY too fast.Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)

It's the period of the year where i take a week off between Christmas and New Years.Quoting Raiders (view post)
This year it's Dec 25th coming back to work on Jan 2nd.
I'm not getting any extra time off for Christmas (except the day, and they usually let us go a bit early the day before) because everyone in my department asked for pretty much that entire week off some time in November, and I have to hold down the fort.
It's okay, though, because today is a snow day and that is awesome.
...and the milk's in me.
The snow fort?Quoting Mara (view post)
The couch fort. Watch out for the carpet. It's lava.
I'm going to be disappointed if a pillow and blanket fort is not involved.
I like that this didn't come from the Onion:
Awesome job, CBS.
The Boat People - 9
The Power of the Dog - 7.5
The King of Pigs - 7
In fairness, Toto is pretty awesome.
Three semesters into college and I think my first B might come in, wait for it... film class.

I'll be the only one at work. Who is going to stop me?Quoting ledfloyd (view post)

Ah jeez, I wish there was sound to accompany that. Some of those are hilariously bad as they go off the road.Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)
Me too, and now i'm in an essential personnel position, so I don't get the "stay at home due to bad weather benefits" either. At least it's only a 5-10 minute drive for me on a normal day, and no highways.Quoting ledfloyd (view post)
Oh I work from home any day it snows here in New England. No way I'm risking the crazies out there....
I have a 35 minute commute to school, but at least when it's terrible out I have the luxury of skipping class.Quoting Gizmo (view post)
Back from visiting my rents. New movies I got to watch on the plane: Kiyoshi Kurosawa's Real, Gondry's Mood Indigo, and Stephen Chow's Journey to the West. Also the longer cut of Grandmasters. Gotta love international flights.
This morning some guy vomited blood at my bus stop. It's official. The zombie apocalypse has begun.
Ew. Um, was he okay afterward?Quoting Spun Lepton (view post)
Vomiting blood has always been one of my most conscious fears for some reason. Think about it every time I feel sick.
I don't know. I was standing at the bus stop, minding my own business and drinking my coffee when I heard the guy vomit about 3 meters away. I thought, "Ugh, drunk at 7AM, nice." He wandered away, or maybe he got on a bus, I don't know. (One of the major bus lines there goes by 3 hospitals.) When my bus arrived and we drove by the ... puddle ... it was blood. I thought, "HOLY SHIT!"
Honestly, I was a bit relieved I didn't get on the same bus as the guy.
