I'm actually having a pretty good time playing "Dante's Inferno".

It's silly as hell (ha!) but it's fun to play. Killing babies and tits around every corner is bordering on disgusting (in the bad way), but the presentation is impeccable, the control is tight and focused, and it's got some great upgrading and deep combat.

If it keeps up like this, I'd rank it among the upper tier of the "God of War" games.

    "Rick...it's a flamethrower."

Oh and the music choice in that "Mortal Kombat X" trailer was painful.

Interested in playing the game, though.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

The bit at the end of the Wolfenstein commercial I keep seeing online* where some guy (a Nazi, I guess?, but still) is pleading with you not to kill him is incredibly off-putting and kind of nauseating. I mean, Christ.

    * Preemptive plea to not derail with a recommendation to use AdBlock Plus

No way, man. It's just extreme, and mature!

Isn't that how you show maturity in video games? Blood, gore, tits, rape and murder? THAT is what mature content is all about.

Any further thoughts? I have yet to pick this up. I've perused numerous reactions over the weekend, and while a large majority of people seem really delighted and enthused, there's also a small selection of folks that seem let down by certain details (i.e., the tracks are apparently too straightforward and similar, rubber-banding and last minute blue shells make 150cc races too frustrating, etc.). However, even those who are somewhat disappointed are tempering their criticisms with praise. At any rate, I'm still very much interested in picking this up.

What did you choose as your free game? Have you played Pikmin 3? I'm probably leaning toward that one. It's going to be my first Pikmin game, though, so I'm not sure if it's the best place to start.
I still have only played through all of the 50cc cups and some of the 100cc ones but I'm still really enjoying it. Mario Kart games have always had rubber-banding especially at high cc's so I don't really see the complaints there. I haven't noticed it being an issue. I really like the tracks and they feel different enough to me but I've only put 3 or 4 hours into the game so far and I'm working to unlock stuff before I go for the 150cc and playing online.

As far as my free game I haven't chose anything because I own all the games they're offering except for Wii Party which I'm not interested in. I'll probably sell my code. I love Pikmin 3. Pikmin is probably my favorite series ever. They do enough starting out with 3 where it is easy for new players to get into. I recommend playing through the first two (they ported them to Wii and wii-remote & nunchuk is my preferred way to play those games including 3) because they are great games but you would be fine starting at 3 and damn is it pretty. If you do decide on 3 let me know and I'll give you a few tips for starting out.

Awesome. Thanks! I've always been very interested in the Pikmin franchise, as it's such a neat concept and it's so visually striking. I'll definitely get back to you if I acquire Mario Kart 8 and Pikmin 3 (hopefully, I'll manage to do this before the promotion expires). I really love Wind Waker but, shortly before the announcement of the HD re-release, I got very nostalgic and very obsessed with the idea of replaying it, and I tracked down a Gamecube disc. So, even the HD overhaul isn't enough incentive for me to want to replay it once again. I'll inevitably get around to it in several years when the nostalgic pangs hit me all over again.

For now, I should probably finally complete Super Mario Bros. U, which I stopped playing a little while after the Wii U launch.

It's gonna be a helluva wait for the new MK. Yeah, the music in the trailer was unfortunate.

I was actually just reading about Matt Damon and he’s like, ‘There’s a culture of outrage.’ I’m like, ‘Well, they have a reason to be outraged.’ I think it’s a lot of dudes just being scared. They’re like, ‘What if I did something and I didn’t realize it?’ I’m like, ‘Deal with it.’

TBD, and no specific reasons. They just need more time to complete the game and can't meet the October deadline.

Ah. I hope everything's all right.

Can't help being a bit weary with delays after the last few messes *cough*Watch Dogs*cough*.

So looks like Dead Rising 3 isn't an Xbone exclusive after all. Not surprising.

I just ordered a new computer. The one I have currently is an HP slimline which works great for my uses but the few times I've tried to play even basic PC games (Kentucky Route Zero, Typing of the Dead) they are unplayable. I still don't plan on playing very many PC games but it'll be good to have a computer that I can at least run games on if the need arises.

Rumors out of the gate, a new Tomb Raider will be shown and more on the Mirror's Edge sequel. And rumors to 4-player Assassins Creed Unity which would be outstanding.

While I'm more interested in Nintendo's Digital Event, which is happening tomorrow, today should be pretty exciting. I'm definitely looking forward to the inevitable Uncharted footage later tonight, as well as whatever other surprises Microsoft and Sony have in store.
