Basketball is a sport I wish I didn't stop playing.
Once I have my gastric bypass surgery, basketball (and Tennis) will be part of my regular after work activities.

    I miss basketball so much.

If you want to be buried, graveyard real estate is super expensive nowadays.

Your state broke? You could always tax rape victims for their abortions.

The tax sections do not include any exemptions for women who want an abortion after a sexual assault, to end a dangerous ectopic pregnancy or to remove the remains of a fetus following a miscarriage -- the latter of which is defined as an abortion under Kansas law.

It's all sickening, but I think the worst part might actually be that they define removing the fetus after a miscarriage, a D&C which in many instances is done strictly for health reasons, as a form of abortion. Un-fucking-believable.

Wow, that's really neat. I wonder how they kept the same angle like that.

EDIT: Upon closer examination, they are actually all a few inches off. Nevermind.

Wow - powerful. My friend lives in Sendai has he's been a major force in helping out the Chinese immigrants there. He owns a vintage/retro clothing store, and he basically donated all his clothing to the Chinese immigrants, who were left with no help from anyone. He also got a ton of business and people in the US (he's an ex-pat) to send lots of money, and he and his friends would load up their trucks and trailers with supplies and make deliveries to many of the immigrants. It was pretty cool to keep track of his status updates over the last year or so.

I think this is a case of medical language being mixed with layterms and causing legal manipulation. Technically speaking, all of those scenarios are abortions, but there are multiple categories. An abortion is defined as a premature stoppage of development and expulsion of a conceptus from the uterus before it is viable. A miscarriage is medically speaking a spontaneous abortion before the middle of the second trimester. When a nonmedical person uses the term "abortion", they are referring to a voluntary "induced abortion." At any pathology dept in the United States, a miscarriage will be billed as a type of spontaneous abortion. The legal system in Kansas must have manipulated the hospital codes to withhold tax breaks from ALL types of abortion -- involuntary and voluntary.

Yeah, I checked and they updated the article to clarify that a D&C is not considered an abortion by the state, so it is not included.

Not sure why, but while sitting on a conference call which I had no part in, I made a quick list of my absolute favorite things...

    1. Nutella
    2. Lazy Saturdays
    3. Cup of Seattle's Best Level 3 in the morning
    4. Looney Tunes
    5. 8am tee times
    6. Baklava
    7. Lounging on a covered balcony during a summer rain storm
    8. The AFI Silver's director retrospectives
    9. Medium rare filet
    10. The elated moment right after viewing a masterful film or play

    Arbitrary ordering I suppose.

DISCLAIMER: "Sex," in all its forms, was excluded to allow more variety.

Personally not a fan, but "sex" in general would have been #1. In fact, I could have probably just listed ten different forms of sex/hanky-panky, but I figured I would be a little less cliche and more "unique."

    3. Fires on the beach at night
    4. The Guitar Solo in “Sweet Child O' Mine”
    5. Breakfast after a hangover
    6. Running the Charles River
    7. Leftover Thanksgiving Turkey
    8. Falling asleep with Adult Swim on

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?
