All it says in the article is Marines. Its gonna be a combination of Gears, Resistance, and Jericho. So you can give orders to other marines who have specialty areas like, turrets, electronics, computers etc.

    Wicked.

I also really like the design of the aliens.

Obviously from still pictures we can't see the way they move, but they look very animalistic. That's awesome, and I think it makes them more frightening.

    "Rick...it's a flamethrower."

If its a predominantly online game, I'm gonna be pissed.

Why? 'Cause you don't have any friends to play with you?

    Well...I'll play with you, Scar.

I don't like having to rely on others to play a video game.

I know, I find online-only or online-centric games to be kind of lame, too.

Mainly because people are still such intolerable dicks on X-Box LiVE.

And I was just joking with my last post.

Wow, I'm seriously going to stop any attempts at humor. Obviously my sense of humor doesn't translate well to a message board. Dry, unfunny monotony it is from now on.

It's not. The AI takes over when you give orders to people who drop in and out of games.

Way too damn time-consuming, that Bio-Shock game is. However, for every inkling I have that I'm wasting my time, I have an equal and opposite inkling that it's really fun!

D, what's your XBOX Live tag? Others, what're yours? Meg, I think I friended you.

I'll check to see if you friended me in a bit, iosos. I am megladon8 - very original, huh?

I really wasn't impressed with that "Gears of War 2" trailer. It showed nothing, told me nothing about the game other than the fact that we still have the same baddies and the same weapons with the same ridiculously macho hero spouting cliché action movie lines. I could've done with some gameplay footage, or at least the promise that it won't just be more of the same.

My big game purchase of the fall will still be "Prototype".

EDIT: And Duke, I'm sorry we didn't get around to playing tonight. Been busy between school and getting ready for my trip to NYC. I'm not blowin' you off, I just haven't had time to sit down and play anything for any length of time in the last while.

I may not get around to playing with you until about 10-11 days from now. Feel free to go ahead and play it by yourself/with someone else if you are desperate.

How is it that close to a year and a half later, the selection of worthwhile PS3 games is such crap?

I'm buying one mostly as a Blu-ray player but it looks like the only exclusive titles I'd be interested in are Ninja Gaiden and the new Burnout, maybe Uncharted as well.

Uncharted is awesome, definitely play that.

Also check out Everyday Shooter on the PSN.

Anyone play any of the XNA games on the XBLA?

    b) I live in Europe so there's the different timezone to take into account.

I heard that the new version of Burnout takes away they thing I liked best about the series - the awesome crashes. Sure the crashes still happen, but they don't do those awesome cutaways what show the cars flying apart and shit going everywhere.

Keep in mind, this is hearsay, but if it's true, I'm not gonna be wasting my money on it when I finally make the jump to the latest gen.

It replaces it with a new mode, and adds about a million things to the game. It is by far the best iteration of the series yet. There is so much to do or see that it can feel overwhelming at first.

I'll probably buy it soon, I've just played it at a friends house.

Cool. It's now on my list solely after looking at the screenshots. That, Uncharted, and Burnout should tide me over until Metal Gear Solid 4 comes out.

Its a rarity that I bother beating a video game. I've beaten that game at least three times now. Every single weapon is completely maxed out, and I have the uber-weapon-of-death-secret-weapon maxed out, so the challenge is gone if I use it.

I really enjoy Resistance: Fall of Man, but if you got an XBOX 360, then I guess you got that Halo game.

Ninja Gaiden is hard. I started playing it when I was sick, and had to stop at the second boss fight 'cause I wasn't fast enough.

EDIT: The first time I played Ratchet and Clank, my jaw dropped at the visuals during the opening level. There is shit going on everywhere!

Wii owners! Virtual Console is getting Commodore 64 games! However, 500 points seems ridiculously high.
