Yes! Even the hard-core fanatics are on board with this one, I've seen positive comments from the most invested book fans, who had very little love for the series so far.

How many episodes have aired so far? I want to see this so bad, but can't yet...I'm happy that the reviews are pretty positive overall though.

My internet connection is way too slow here to download the episodes so I have to wait until they are available to buy on (pirated) dvd. Might take a few more weeks...

HBO GO requires 3 Mbps download speed. My DSL usually gets between 1.5 and 2 and it simply won't work. I can hardly get through the credits before it stops and then it'll play 30 seconds, stop for 30 seconds from there on out.

why not just start playing it and leave it alone for a while while it buffers? i imagine that would do the trick

It's weird - I'm loving the show and can barely wait for episodes, but I'm not tempted by seeing the 7th episode in advance. I prefer to wait. This is rare with me and shows.

Some serious gratuitous nudity in this latest episode. Probably the worst scene in the show so far. Best episode overall though.

It couldn't have shown much more without being labeled pornographic. As it stands it flirts with the line. Not a personal complaint, I don't mind gratuitous nudity. I'm not ashamed to admit that's what that was, though.

Unrelated, I also agree that this was the best episode yet.

We saw two pairs of breasts, and got simulated sex with lots of moaning. Roz's last sex scene with Theon was way more graphic and had more skin.

I'm not going to argue explicitness, but I will argue necessity. At least the other couple were established characters and not glorified extras. The scene you mentioned could also be measured in seconds compared to this one being minutes long. And the impression it leaves is that it serves no lasting purpose to any character. More explicit, debatable. Gratuitous, yes.

Hm, I didn't really like this episode a whole lot. The porn scene was just silly, going on forever and establishing nothing new (it had already been made explicit that Baelish liked/still likes Catelyn Stark, no?) and many scenes just fell kind of flat for me--Renly's jockeying for the throne and Ned's confrontation to Cersei both seemed muted--I did watch this at the 11 o'clock repeat, so maybe I was tired. Dunno.

Ah, I really liked Ned and Cersei's talk in the courtyard. It may have been muted, but the culmination at the end was worth it. Fully behind Lena Headey as casting now. Other scenes of note were Tywin and Jaime's talk over skinning a boar, Ned and Littlefinger's clash over power, and watching Danaerys mature into a force to be reckoned with.

Yeah. It was kind of an audition.

And - no shoutout for Drogo? I thought his outburst was pretty impressive. Finally we see that simmering intensity.

Looked like an elk to me. Seemed like an intentional choice because isn't the symbol of House Baratheon an elk as well?

no, it was a boar. he was installing a remote control device and a video camera and later he used it to hunt down and kill king robert.. i thought it was pretty obvious but maybe they needed to make that clearer.
