world tour was just awful. same drop in quality as street vol. 2 to 3
Yeah, it didn't look that appealing to me, particularly with their dropping of the sorta urban cool electronica aesthetic (trying to outrun an avalanche during a whiteout with Röyksopp's Poor Leno or Deepsky's Ride playing in the background = sublime) and it appears all the characters got the axe as well (WHAT?!?! NO ZOE?!?!) , which completely killed my interest in the game.

I'll just stick with SSX3, thankyouverymuch. Now, if that game were to get a current-gen update, I would be there on opening day. Shit, I would take a week off to play it like my friend does when the new version of Final Fantasy comes out.

SSX 3= best "extreme" sports game ever. I don't think I'll ever get tired of that game. Boarding down the entire mountain from peak to base, while listening to great techno music = gaming heaven.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

Yeah, that's my favorite thing to do too, seeing as going all the way down the mountain is a thirty minute ride and there are so many different paths to take. Damn, now I'm REALLY jonesing.

For the record, I bought Dragon Age and played it for ... ahem ... about 10 hours yesterday. FUN game. Really fun. I should've just gotten this instead of Demon's Souls.

I enjoy every video he does. They're typically SPOT ON from my perspective.

So there've been like, I dunno, 4 games in the last 5 years that you've liked?

You can bitch about certain aspects of a game *cough*RE4*cough*, yet still enjoy playing them.

Yeah but Zero Punctuation's reviews aren't just nit-picking but overall positive. Since he began in 06/07, there really have been just a small handful of games he's actually liked.

This is why I found his schtick got boring.

Well that's the whole schtick. Even the best of games have annoying aspects of them. But yeh, I'm a harsh critic with games. Exact opposite with movies.

For example, the Darksiders video, I'm playing right now.. enjoying the hell out of it, but i agree with EVERYTHING he says about it. It's great.

Took me around 25 hours to beat Darksiders, found nearly all the secret stuff, this game was such a good surprise.

And i'm pumped for the sequel, the end is a damn tease.

I'm playing Dragon Age right now as well, great game! Visuals are a bit on the dull side, but gameplay and dialogue are so much fun. Sometimes i just stop to hear Morrigan and Alistair picking on each other.

But since i love Demon's Souls to death, i can't say a agree with the last sentence.

Oh, and save in Dragon Age OFTEN, i died once and my last auto-save was nearly two hours before it! :frustrated:

I think you take him too seriously meg, i bet he doesn't mean nearly anything he says about the games on his reviews, his main goal is to piss people off and i love it.

So I FINALLY got 250 head shots with my FAMAS in "Modern Warfare 2", which unlocks the final unlockable for it: fall colours.

I was so excited to finally be done with that gun. It's by far my favorite gun in the game, but I was obsessively trying to max it out before I would dedicate my time to another gun.

But...what? There's another level for the FAMAS? I have to get 350 headshots now??

I'd also like to point out that Yahtzee's videos for both iNfamous and Prototype were positive, even though he roasted them both for being so similar to each other. In the end he said that he enjoyed both for different reasons, and recommended them.

Playing Mass Effect is making me feel physically uncomfortable. I'm fighting that cunt Benezia - voiced by counsellor Troi no less - for the first time, but goddamit I keep dying! I so want to smash my joypad into goddamn smithereens, but instead decided to scratch myself. I think I've got some red marks in my neck and on my leg. Grrr.

    Sorry.

Heavy Rain is receiving a surprisingly positive reaction from the american media, i thought the opinions would be much more divisive. Destructoid was the most harsh of the critics so far, and it still gave it a 7/10.

But one of my fears seemed to be confirmed: English voice acting is atrocious, i'll stick with [insert any other language] with subtitles...

Funny you mention it because I'm playing through the game for the first time at the moment and got to that part last night. I spent about an hour trying to beat her, and another hour this afternoon only to find out after you talk to her you have to fight her again. :frustrated:

That's when I just left the planet and decided to come back once I'm a much higher level.

Are there any NBA Live fans around here? I recently bought '10 for my son and I, but so far I'm pretty disappointed. I'm even starting to wonder if I'm doing something incorrectly. I'm missing a ton of layups and gimmie shots in the paint, and there are opposing players that take over a game that have no business taking over a game with spin moves and dunks (Peja, I'm looking at you). Anyone have any similar experiences with it?

I played '08 and had the same problem for a while, but eventually figured it out. Sorry, I'm not sure what it was. But once you do figure it out, the game becomes way too easy.

Ah, I can do that? Because there's a short cutscene with dialogue trees after her first defeat, which then segues into the 2nd confrontation. That's where I'm at. Part of me gets the impression I'm still too much into the FPS mindset and not grasping that this has undeniable RPG elements. And I'm not merely talking about leveling up, but even during battle I'm just shooting, hardly taking the time to assign powers and upgrades to my teammates.

    Still, they perish so quickly.

One other thing, just getting to Benezia took a long time with a huge Mako section inbetween. If I leave this battle now, will I need to traverse that entire area again?! All those bloody corridors?

i finished chrono trigger. as far as SNES RPGs go it's not quite as epic as FFVI or as fun as Earthbound but it's a close third and a great game.
