Just beat the second boss, that dragon thingie you kill while falling down a shaft.

    Good Lord....

    That's "Metroid Prime 3", isn't it?
"All right, that's too hot. Anything we can do about that heat?"

    "Rick...it's a flamethrower."

I bought Metroid Prime not so long ago. Found it kind of boring so I gave up on it. Too much backtracking.

That's good to hear about "Cursed Mountain", DaMU. The stuff I've seen looked very promising.
It's not great by any stretch, but I'm digging the vibe, as it were. The new Silent Hill game for Wii is also supposed to be very good.

Honestly I just figured the reason "Metroid Prime" was left off that list is because not only is it the best game of the decade, but it's also the greatest game ever made, so it kind of goes without saying that it'd be #1.

I love getting a new item and then suddenly thinking, "Wait, I remember where I can use this." Then I run back, giddy as a British school boy with a whipped ice.

What I would do was to wander around aimlessly for an hour and then look on the internet on where to go.

Such a masterpiece of the form.

Echoes ain't bad either (though some of the new features are fairly half baked)

    Borderlands or Fallout 3
I already have Fallout 3, so Borderlands it is!

(And this will happen, btw. Thanks to a flurry of writing, I finished NaNo TONIGHT!)

I wish you don't have to go back to the main menu to switch language in Assassin's Creed II.

Ok, question for all you cutters.

November 30th is right around the corner, and that means the end of NaNoWriMo. I'm on pace to "win" (beat the 50000 words needed), and if I do, I've decided to reward myself with a game purchase.

I'd prefer it be available for PC, but if the game is good enough, I'll go for an XBOX 360 game as well.

I like RPGs, FPSs and Action Adventures (and already have Dragon Age).

    Any recommendations?

Spent over 30 hours in Assassin's Creed II and I'm still not done. This game is huge. Still very impressed by this sequel. It improved on almost everything compared to the first game. Just got the Altaïr armor. The crypts are some of the best parts in the game. Wish there were more of them.

Also played some Mushihimesama Futari V1.5, the bullet hell shooter from Cave, that is just released on the 360. My god, this game is glorious. It's insane and totally fun. I really hope they will bring DeathSmiles II to the 360 now as well.

Finished Assassin's Creed II today. I think it is a really good game and enjoyed it a lot. The story became a little bit weird towards the end though. I also hope it will sell well, so we can get a sequel. I would really like to see what else they can come up with. The one thing they have to fix are some of the animations and character models in the cutscenes. They don't really do the game any justice.

The cutscenes are in-game graphics, so I think it's more seamless that way. I don't mind it.

For the sequel, they're talking about either Arthurian England or Feudal Japan. I'd prefer the former.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

Games I wouldn't reccommend are Borderlands (esp if you DONT play online) and Fallout 3.

Games I would, the one you already own, the Witcher, and for the mother fucking win... Torchlight.

Ah thought we had until the 30th to help ya. Borderlands is one of the most boring RPG/FPS games i've ever played... IF you play coop it can get fun, but for single player it's a totally snooze fest.

Yep, it is more seamless, but the face animations still look a little bit off to me when there is a close up. Ezio's face looks great for example, but when you see Lucy's (she's supposed to look like Kristen Bell) it is a little bit disappointing. Still love the game though.

I think what they will do for the sequel is have you play as different characters all set in different places and times. Personally, I hope they will do ancient China at least. And seeing in the sanctuary in Monteriggioni that one of Ezio's assassin ancestors is from that time, maybe there is a good chance it will happen.

    Eternal Darkness!!

Could be great to have a pseudo-remake of that, but with awe-inspiring graphics.

I don't play online and I only play single player and Borderlands is one of the funnest games I've played all year. I've already put 30+ hours into it.

Borderlands is a very trivial RPG. Comes equipped with your own little pointer/compass towards objectives. Same deal with Fallout. The developers are babying the players and insulting the ones that want a challenge. This is why I'm annoyed by both games. The coop however, makes the game a lot more fun.

I don't play PC games so my knowledge of Western RPG's is nowhere near my knowledge of JRPG's but both Fallout 3 and Borderlands are fantastic. I also had a lot of fun with Fable II.

I wasn't a fan of Oblivion or Mass Effect.
