My copies of Uncharted 2 and Demon Souls arrived friday night, i'm on a gaming nirvana of sorts right now.

Uncharted 2 is amazing, I've reached chapter 16 during the weekend and it's been a rollercoaster of amazing set pieces and fun. Every PS3 owner should at least try it, it's such a labor of love from Naughty Dog, certainly something we won't see very often this generation.

And Demon Souls, the game's reputation is totally confirmed! Jesus, what an addictive yet difficult game... It's unforgiving with newcomers, but yet incredibly satisfying at every progress made, it's definitely an old school approach that forces you to learn through repetition and it demands skill, attention and strategy. I wouldn't recommend to most people, but only for those that enjoy a good dungeon-crawler RPG, it's certainly a classic of this subgenre and one of my favorite PS3 exclusives so far.

I was actually just reading about Matt Damon and he’s like, ‘There’s a culture of outrage.’ I’m like, ‘Well, they have a reason to be outraged.’ I think it’s a lot of dudes just being scared. They’re like, ‘What if I did something and I didn’t realize it?’ I’m like, ‘Deal with it.’

I'm nearing the end of Uncharted 2 and for lack of a better word, what a Goddamn ride! Unbelievable. The Tibetan stuff is insane. The truck chase! Woot Woot!! WOOT!! WOOT!!! The graphics truly are insane. Yes, I've used the word "insane" in the space of two sentences. Three if you count the "wooting" as a sentence. Fuck off if that bothers you.

They had one out to demo at Toys R Us the other day and I wasn't terribly impressed. I only checked it out for about 60 seconds, but it seemed like it would get old fast.

Yeah, I wasn't too impressed either. Spinning the record is hard when pushing a button down, and isn't too impressive. They have the slider where you can go left or right, but I didn't get to use it throughout an entire song.

    I'll pass.

Ugh, don't tell me you're one of those holier-than-thou "I don't buy games by such-and-such company" people.

I have a friend who refuses to even play a game by EA. I find it ridiculous.

Well, it got a 90/100 on IGN, which is a good sign.

Nope, I just find Activision has a habit of making cumbersome and wonky controls. When they took over Guitar Hero, the game went from being intuitive and fun to clunky and unintuitive. (Compare the gameplay between Guitar Hero and Rock Band and you'll see exactly what I mean.)

I got Prototype recently -- a game that got very high marks from reviewers -- only to discover that once I got deep enough into the game, the controls started getting clumsy and over-complicated. I stopped playing around that time.

I also have a problem with the way they turned on Harmonix after getting a hold of Guitar Hero. Harmonix attempted to coordinate with them a guitar controller standard for both Guitar Hero controllers and Rock Band controllers, but Activision was having none of that. So, fuck Activision.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

I can't be the only one excited about the new Ratchet & Clank. Tools of Destruction is still one of the most fun games I've played on PS3.

If that game is even have as fun as Tools o' Destruction was, I would be stoked. My buddy who has a PS3 showed me that game, and my eyes about popped outa my head.

Best Buy had a buy 2 get 1 free special when I stopped by at lunch. Picked up Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time, Uncharted 2, and FIFA 10. That's more games than I've bought in the past year.

I can't wait to get home.

I enjoyed Tools of Destruction a lot, definitely interested in the new Ratchet, but sadly i need to import my games so i'm very nitpicky and end up buying only the few special ones. But i try to play them all, rental at least.

I played a bunch of Fallout 3 last night and then I was walking to work and I saw a bobby pin on the ground and I thought "Hey, I need some of those" and then I thought "...I'm a idiot".
