I don't think The Beast is going to have a second season.

I was actually just reading about Matt Damon and he’s like, ‘There’s a culture of outrage.’ I’m like, ‘Well, they have a reason to be outraged.’ I think it’s a lot of dudes just being scared. They’re like, ‘What if I did something and I didn’t realize it?’ I’m like, ‘Deal with it.’

A girl at work just asked me: "If humanity stopped having sex, would we lose our sex organs through evolution?"

TO be fair she may have envisaged asexual budding in the formulation of her hypothetical question.

I'm not usually one to fault people for aging-- I have a real problem with plastic surgery, and I think people should feel comfortable looking their age.

That said... VAL KILMER HAS GOTTEN INEXCUSABLY UGLY.

There was a picture in the Washington Post today that actually made me shudder.

Sorry, had to run off to a meeting. I can't find the exact picture from the Post, but my mother leaned over my shoulder, looked at it, and said, "Why would a homeless person run for Governor of New Mexico?"

This picture is pretty close. Not for the faint of heart, or those who still guiltily watch The Saint when it reruns on TBS.

CRIPES, but I just had an awful meeting at work. It dissolved into yelling and accusations and storming out.

I don't deal well with that kind of confrontation unless I'm involved with it. Sounds strange, I know, but I can handle other peoples' anger when I'm angry. When I'm not, when I'm just a witness, I get extremely agitated and shaky, and sick to my stomach. It's like I'm a kid again hiding on the staircase while my parents scream at each other. I hate it.

So, Internet Explorer 8 went General Availability today, and let me be the first to say it.

    It totally sucks.

    It is 2:15 p.m.

I have been dressed for over six hours.

I just now-- JUST NOW-- found a nylon stocking static-clinging to my bra. Apparently it's been there since I last did laundry, and I walked around with it all day.

By my understanding of the nature of physics and all that ideas of comfort should dictate, that is indeed an achievement. I now rather wonder how you discovered that it's hijacked its way into your wardrobe...

I slung my purse up on my shoulder, and it caught itself on my collar. While extricating myself, my bra strap fell down (off my shoulder.) I was alone in the room, so I reached into my shirt to fix it and-- hello! Stocking!

Being between my bra and my shirt, I'm not surprised I didn't feel it. I'm surprised I didn't see it. (Surely, it must have been lumpy.) Someone in the office could have kindly pointed out that my breasts were unusually lumpy today.

    Wait. Maybe not.
