Thread: Video Games...Discuss Them

  1. #4376
Wats, I by no means meant any insult to your childhood or the SNES in what I said. Indeed, something could be considered missing from my chlidhood seeing as I didn't play Super Mario World till I was 20.

I was just saying that as someone who, like, played that game and Ocarina of Time and others in just the last 5 years, I can generally offer some insight and validation to people who worry whether or not the games they enjoyed then were really as good as they remember them being.

'Cause we were kids. We didn't always have the most discerning taste.

    Your childhood must have sucked.

I would punch myself every day just for admitting that.
There's more to life then video games.

I got my first true gaming system in college.
“What we are dealing with here is a perfect engine, er... an eating machine. It's really a miracle of evolution. All this machine does is swim and eat and make little sharks and that's all.”

3DO was the last system I spent full price one. It took a price drop from $700 to $425, and I jumped on it. They went bankrupt in a year. I'll never spend full price on a system again.

I still have that old hog around here somewhere.

A lot of new stuff on my most anticipated Wii game, Oboro Muramasa. It looks damn good. I love the artstyle.

    Wii games I've played through:

    1) Metroid Prime 3 - A+
    2) World of Goo - A+
    3) Super Mario Galaxy - A
    4) Resident Evil 4 - A
    5) Wii Sports - B

World of Goo is the best puzzle game I've played since Tetris.

    I said it.

    That does look awesome, Saya.

Is it going to be a Japan-only release? Or will it come out in the US?

I gave Spider-Man: Web of Shadows about two hours before i couldn't take it anymore. Bad controls, horrible voice acting, and repetitive battles equal no fun.

Saw the Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 trailer. I didn't know it's based on Civil War. It'll probably end up being better than the book...

I was actually just reading about Matt Damon and he’s like, ‘There’s a culture of outrage.’ I’m like, ‘Well, they have a reason to be outraged.’ I think it’s a lot of dudes just being scared. They’re like, ‘What if I did something and I didn’t realize it?’ I’m like, ‘Deal with it.’

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

Playing Mario Kart Wii while drunk off your ass is quite hard.

It was more like drink and bash your friends head in with the wheel trying to turn left.

Played a bit of that Fallout 3. The world seems interesting but the gore level in this game is unbelievably stupid. I'm no weapons expert like Scar but I'm pretty sure that if you should someone in the head with a pistol it doesn't invariably detach itself from the body and fly 6 feet away. Extremely annoying IMO.

I thought this was pretty damn entertaining.

I never got sick of this, at all.
