If they're anything like the videos Jeff and Ryan did for their awards, then I'll avoid them. Those videos were awful.
Yeah, but then it was true of a lot of similar Gamespot video content. Only good part was Ryan poking his own eye out. I'm sure the podcasts are better.

And on that note, we apparently just lost a lot of options for videogame podcasts. 1UP has been bought by Hearst/UGO and it seems a lot of their media content is being gutted. Ryan and Matt have been fired, Skip confirmed the podcasts are gone, and apparently EGM is closing, too...
Giving up in 2020. Who cares.

The people in this thread all seem pretty in love with it. It'd be on my to-buy list if I had an Xbox360.
I have come to enjoy this forum very much and have begun posting there. Thanks, Milky Joe!

Ah, I was wondering if that was you called thesycophant. My user name there is Vikram Ray, though I hardly ever post. It's one of the more entertaining message boards I've ever read, while at the same time having very good actual discussion about its topic. Glad I could be of service!

I wish Nintendo would announce a sequel already.
    Agreed.

I pretty much only buy Nintendo systems for Mario and Zelda titles. It's always worth it, but the interim period between games can lead to a pretty dusty console.

I picked up Prince of Persia (a day before my roommate beat his copy) and Splinter Cell: Double Agent.

Only three more gold blocks to obtain in Lego Star Wars Saga...

Sweet! I'm curious to hear someone else's thoughts on Prince o' Persia. I' loving it so far.

    Why?
the multiplayer is okay but the single player campaign is awful. COD has a reputation with outstanding SP maps, voice overs, missions etc... Sure they got Sutherland and Oldman to voice, but the AI is probably the worst I've seen in a video game this gen. Worse than Resistance 2, which I didn't think was possible. If you think COD4 was nade spammy, COD5 is about 100 times worse.

For anyone who has this game, play through the SP on Veteran... i dare you. That's how you can tell how bad this game really is.

    Treyarch.

At least there's Modern Warfare 2 this year, from infinity Ward.

Ah, but this is how they keep each individual title so satisfying and manage to not dilute the brand or overexpose the game mechanics.

I now buy Nintendo systems for the "Metroid" franchise.

I'm going to get a Wii sometime this year so I can play #3.

Well, people still argue that this has, nonetheless, happened in regards to the Zelda series.

Ocarina of Time is a nostalgic gem for me, so I didn't mind Twilight Princess re-treading on old (yet wondrous) ground. Even still, I do hope they go for something bizarre and risky for their next installment ala Majora's Mask or, to a lesser extent, Wind Waker.

I just really want ALL gaming companies to move on from WWII for a few years.

I'm so, so sick of that war and that period of time in general.

This piece of Half-Life 2: Episode Three concept art is so very tantalizing.

I really hope Valve shows us a bit more of this game sooner rather than later.

    I don't think it's new. I think I remember seeing it a while ago.

I think we have a good chance of seeing Episode III in 2009. Because Valve released The Orange Box in 2007 and Left 4 Dead in 2008. Maybe they will make a new "box" type of game with Half-Life 2: Episode 3 and some new Left 4 Dead content or something for 2009.

Yeah, I posted the exact same one almost three months ago. I agree though. Episode III is in the top three of my most anticipated games.
