I'll agree that the House of the Undying was handled much better in the book. I've been okay with most of the changes the show has made, though this is an instance where they really fumbled things. The fact that this scene was literally the only interesting thing to happen to Dany this season doesn't help matters any.

My only problem was that the Dany arc could have been wrapped up in like 3 episodes, and they drew it out way too long even though I liked the conclusion.
Bad as it was in the show, this issue was much worse in the book. Her chapters dragged on and on, with little to nothing of interest actually happening. They could have removed all but her very last chapter in the book (which won't be adapted until next season) and we really wouldn't have missed much of anything.

It took me a little bit to figure out that was Jon Snow. I have no idea who the dude on the far right is. I'm racking my brain and I can't come up with anyone. Perhaps it's the glasses that are throwing me off.

The dude in glasses in Jon Snow. Dude in scarf is Robb, and the other one is Theon.

I was actually just reading about Matt Damon and he’s like, ‘There’s a culture of outrage.’ I’m like, ‘Well, they have a reason to be outraged.’ I think it’s a lot of dudes just being scared. They’re like, ‘What if I did something and I didn’t realize it?’ I’m like, ‘Deal with it.’

Wow, they really did pull the Season 1 finale off HBO Go over this George Bush bullshit. Unbelievable.

So absurd. They said they'll have to change it for all future DVD/Blu-ray releases too, so they'll probably either blur it or remove the shot before letting the episode out there again.

Yeah, they are recalling the stock at stores right now. So any of you who have it already, yours is now officially the Limited George Bush Severed Head Edition.

    So stupid.

It was a prop head with a long-hair wig on it that you can barely even see the profile of, but because they hinted that the same head was Bush in another production, somehow it's suddenly considered insensitive? Who does this offend?

Did people get this up in arms when the bank robbers wore masks of the presidents in Point Break?
Last 11 things I really enjoyed:

Took me about a week to get through Season 1, and since I was exhausted this weekend, I watched all of Season 2 this weekend.

I now have the first five books on my Kindle.

"We eventually managed to find them near Biskupin, where demonstrations of prehistoric farming are organized. These oxen couldn't be transported to anywhere else, so we had to built the entire studio around them. A scene that lasted twenty-something seconds took us a year and a half to prepare."

    Avoiding reading anything.

I just finished episode four of Season One, and the show officially got its claws into my skin. Tyrion Lannister just got accused of conspiracy to murder by Stark's wife.

    Drama!
