I think his message is fine, but maybe he should change careers at this point. He should become a community organizer.
    :P

Yeah, he's more an editorial journalist than anything else, but again, I find his commentary compelling and his views are in line with my own, so I usually enjoy reading his stuff. I'm no avid reader of his material, but surely he has to tackle other issues aside from black athletes. There are probably columns that don't receive much recognition, no?

Once a year he suggests someone sign Jeff George. That's his other key issue.

A google search of "jason whitlock + jeff george" returns 482,000 results. No joke.

Also, is it too early to label Pierre Thomas this year's first true fantasy draft killer? As in, the guy who will take points from 5 different guys that everyone drafted in the top 10 rounds of drafts?

Same here. But I'm still trying to figure out why we always choose to go with conservative playcalling in the 3rd quarter. Hell the Bears did the same thing today.

Yeah. Grant is clearly not at full-strength, which is also a big concern considering Brandon Jackson's inconsistency so far. Lumpkin showed some flashes, at least.

I didn't catch much of the Bears, and I'm really wondering what to think of both them and the Panthers.

Truthfully, I'm wondering what to think of most NFC teams right now.

Dude the Bills are 2-0. Whoa. The Packers being 2-0 isn't as big a surprise, and I'm starting to rethink my (ever increasingly wrong) opinion that the Vikings will take the NFC North. I really donno what I was thinking. As for the Chiefs, well.....

    The Chiefs are awful.

The Broncos offense has been absurdly good so far this year. I expected good things, but this Marshall/Royal/Stokley/Scheffler receiving core should really be something to watch. I was hoping for 10-6 this year, but if their pass defense tightens up a bit (EDIT: a LOT), they could be even better.

What the fuck? How does that even begin to make sense to ANYBODY? A fumble that is recovered by the other team is still a fumble, but because a whistle was blown, it is still a fumble, but a dead ball and somehow automatically retained by Denver.

    Um, yeah.

I wish I'd kept Reggie Bush in my fantasy league instead of Houshmandzadeh and his Palmer-related crappiness.

Eh, after some time to think, I guess I understand. If the play has been blown dead, you can't reward the other team the ball for something that happened after.

It just sucks, I guess. I still say it is a ridiculously bad call that a ball that goes, at best, sideways (and very wobbly) from the player would be ruled on the spot an incomplete pass.

Yeah, this is the way the rule is written. It's not always fair, and it sucks, but they can't allow refs to try and predict the future.

Probably because a ref doesn't have enough sense to get it right.

Might be a lot of coaches who don't make it through the season this year. There are some worthy candidates for sure.

    Kiffin
    Linehan
    Herm Edwards
    Marvin Lewis
    Nolan
    Marinelli

If Marvin Lewis isn't gone by week's end, I'll be shocked.

Then again, he should've been gone long ago.

    Sounds like Kiffin's gone immediately.

Of those listed, I think Edwards is the safest. They invested too much in him to fire him after the draft they just had.

Edwards and Marinelli may be safe, if only because both of them really have done as best as possible with what they really have had. Kiffen is gone because Al Davis is utterly insane, and never really wanted to give the kid a chance, yet he's going to fire him anyways. That doesn't make any sense, but then we're talking about Davis here. Linehan is pretty much screwed, but I think he'll at least last until Week 4. Lewis is safe because, well, they didn't fire him the last time they should have. But I hope I end up being wrong. He needs to go. As for Nolan, if the 49ers keep winning and contending Mark Martz will be kept at bay.

Mark Martz sounds like an ammunition retail outlet.

My fantasy football team is God this week.

Speaking of which, with the rare 5-8 RBs that get majority of carries, it's almost more important to start going after the star WRs now.
