Aderall seems like it would be especially helpful for corners like Browner and Sherman -- increased focus and a boost of energy has to help you stick with receivers.

But yeah, Seahawks are done if the suspensions hold up. Browner and Sherman are arguably the two most important players on the defense. Their shut down coverage is what boosts the pass-rush and frees up the safety to defend the run. This promising season has basically completely unraveled over the course of a weekend -- the news coming just hours after a unfathomable collapse by the defense in Miami.

Sigh. Russell Wilson is looking pretty great, I guess. I can only hope they open up the passing game with the once staunch defense now potentially compromised.

I don't care who you play, in the NFL a bad team doesn't win five games in a row or blowout the now 10-1 Texans in their own stadium.
Positive Me: Yeah, you're right. We'll see what happens.

Cynical Me: Fluke victories do happen.

I actually think that the fact that Rodgers torched that Texans secondary makes me wonder what Tom Brady will do to it in a couple of weeks. Of course he probably won't have Gronk in that game, but Rodgers didn't have Jennings, who is GB's best WR imo.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

I would take Dallas and it's not even close. The Eagles have given up and Nick Foles is terrible.

Isn't half of Seattle's defense suspended? Yes, Cutler is back.

They're appealing so not yet. And Seattle is way better than Philly.

Sherman and Browner are both playing on Sunday. League won't hear the appeals until next week.

Seattle can go either way on the heels of this news -- play completely unfocused or have one of those "no one believes in us anymore" games. Plus Chicago is completely overrated and hasn't beaten anyone yet. Philly is done for this season.

OK guys. I went with Dallas. None of the other three guys have the option of going with them, so let's all root against whatever teams they go with!

My guess is one will go with the Pats, one will go with the Ravens and the other is fucked as far as I'm concerned. He'll probably go with Carolina away against KC.

From what I've seen reported, its Jovan Belcher.

He killed himself AT the team facility - early word is he did it in front of Crennel.

This is confirmed. Pioli was also there, attempting to talk him down. Read a report that he pulled the trigger as soon as the first police arrived. What an awful story.

Yeah, not that this should matter, but considering both teams are so far out of contention, surely the league will postpone the game, despite them telling the Panthers to travel to KC as usual and prepare as if the game is going to go forward.

So, the guy murders his girlfriend orphaning his young child and Yahoo puts a "Jovan Belcher 1987-2012" memorial picture at the bottom of the article? Someone needs to get fired.

I heard about it this morning from a friend of mine. I'm still completely crushed about the news. Its insanely tragic, and just another reason this is the worst season in Chiefs history. Fuck

I'll admit I didn't know who the guy was, and yet he played 10 games this season and had played 59 for the Chiefs over 4 seasons. I don't know why he did what he did, but its absolutely horrible. I don't think the Chiefs should play tomorrow, but they won't postpone the game even though neither team is capable of making the playoffs. The only thing it will determine is drafting order.

I was following that KC news story all day yesterday. Horrible.

Duke I would go with Chicago, but Dallas should be okay...but can be risky when Romo is your QB.

So uhh, not like this matters much but should I bench Jamaal Charles in this game? His wife was the cousin of Belcher's murdered girlfriend and had introduced the two them.

I don't have another good option since Demarco Murray is still questionable.
