Kf, that's a tough game to lose. But you have to feel some consolation in knowing that Ugoh was out as well as Harrison. Small consolation, I know. I really thought Manning was going to do it on that last drive.

On the flip side, maybe the AFC isn't as dominant as we previously believed (outside of the Pats and Colts, of course). Pack over Chiefs (sorry MM), Vikes over Chargers, and Saints over Jags. Pretty good day for the NFC.

Well, the Chiefs aren't very good to begin with, and the Jags are starting Quinn Grey because Garrard is injured, so those wins don't mean a whole heck of a lot. Still, the Vikes over the Chargers was a surprise. I'm stunned that the Chargers defense got manhandled like that.

Quinn Grey managed to beat the Bucs last weak, but I guess that's true. Still, the Saint's putting up over 40 on the Jag's D isn't impressive?

Yeah, that's pretty impressive. The Saints seem to finally have things clicking again. I guess what I meant was that they were one game out of the Super Bowl last season, so watching them beat a Jags team with what amounts to a practice squad QB (which is where he was before Leftwich was released) was to be expected. Hanging 40+ is impressive though.

I don't guess it would help my case to mention the Redskins beating the Jets?

Yeah, the Jags D has been pretty impressive all year. That blowout was shocking. I expected a Saints win, but more of the 24-21 variety.

Also pleased that Adrian Peterson eclipsed the old single game rushing record held by Jamal Lewis. Lewis ran against a porous, near-nonexistent Cleveland defense that game, whereas Peterson actually had a decent defense opposite him. Just shows how good Minnesota could be if they had actual receivers and a quarterback...

    Colts Amping It Up

I have heard these allegations before. I don't really care except this only further demonstrates that dome games suck.

I hope Peterson has a healthy career, if he does he could become a great player.

Yeah you're right about that dude. And I love the Chiefs, but I like the Packers too. I want Farve to reach the playoffs this year, maybe even the Super Bowl. Besides look at the AFC West: the Chiefs are still in the driver's seat. We beat the Chargers at their home standium, and we'll definatly beat them in KC. The Raiders still suck. The Broncos have a terrible defense. Despite losing Johnson I think we can take the terrible AFC West this year. Oh and congrats on the Saints winning today rocus. I think they can take the division, as the Bucs aren't great on offense and the Panthers have QB issues.

The Lions are for real, and that scares me. Their fans have to be happy about that, but pissed that this also means that Millian will be able to point and say "Hey look folks-a winning year! Love me now." But that's a small price to pay I suppose for victory.

Adrian Peterson is a beast of a man. If he stays healthy he'll be setting and breaking all sorts of records. The Vikings only need a merely decent game managing QB to have a good season next year.

I second/third the sorries about the Colts KF. After that info you mentioned and the fact that Harrison was out I knew the Pats would win (I also picked them to win in my Pick 'Em groups). While I still think that Tom Brady is the better QB I think that the Colts right now have the better defense. Bob Sanders is a beast at his height, and he made a huge difference in the playoffs last year. We'll see how things go the second time around. But right now those are the two best teams in the league, period.

Man, that wouldn't have been so depressing if the Niners hadn't got my hopes up there at the end. Well, I guess the advantage to all this is the Steelers are still the only team with six.

The gamble of eating up a bench spot for Harvin seems like it might pay off. I can't imagine he won't be back Week 9 at home vs. the shoddy Bucs, just in time for the ramp up to the playoffs.

Harvin stash may pay off. I've also just rostered Shane Vereen since he'll likely be back and featured within a couple weeks.

Only at 4-3 though so I need to start racking up wins.

Same here. My guys just aren't getting TD's. Yards OK, but this isn't a PPR league, so I need the TD's.

    1. New England Patriots
    2. Seattle Seahawks - only allowed 3 TDs in the last five games. WOW.
    3. Green Bay Packers - looks like they may have peaked to me.
    4. Dallas Cowboys
    5. Denver Broncos - on a huge downslide since the change of playbook. Homefield still helps.
    6. Pittsburgh Steelers
    7. Cincinnati Bengals
    8. Detroit Lions
    9. Baltimore Ravens
    10. Philadelphia Eagles - not making the playoffs though

    28. Washington Redskins
    29. Oakland Raiders
    30. New York Jets
    31. Tampa Bay Bucs
    32. Tennessee Titans

Rooting for the Browns/Chiefs/Texans to win so that the Texans can sneak in somehow.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

Do you think Manning is healthy enough to win next week? No bye if you lose.

Tough to say. I'll have to read some interviews. With a home game, he should really just need a first half against the Raiders.

    Seahawks VS. Panthers
Seahawks are going to rock the Panthers I think. They may have a tough time scoring, but they only need 14 to win.
    Seahawks 23
    Panthers 10

    Cowboys VS. Packers
Awesome game right here. With the Packers at home, I think they take it. But it'll be very close.
    Packers 34
    Cowboys 30

    Broncos VS. Colts
What Broncos are going to show up? I feel like they can do it at home, but I am worried here. Broncos will get at least 21 regardless, and played well. As long as they can contain Hilton, and utilize someone since I imagine Demarius Thomas will be covered well, they'll come out ahead.
    Broncos 31
    Colts 21

    Ravens VS. Patriots
Pundits are saying the Ravens can beat out the Patriots. I disagree if the Ravens can't run it down their throat.
    Patriots 41
    Ravens 21
