Is it wrong that the first thing I thought was "Well, I had him on my fantasy team this season and he sucked anyway, so no big loss."?
    Nope. Not at all.

Marvin Harrison likely to be cut by Indy.

Philly seems like the natural choice. He's from the area and I think him and McNabb played together at Syracuse.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

That would be pretty funny, considering he was accused of shooting someone here.

Not surprising at all. It's the right move. His best days are behind him, he's injury prone, and he's making a ton of money. Gonzalez's stock just rose in next year's fantasy drafts.

Jackson could end up being a beast if the Bills start him more.

Harrison getting cut is completely unsurprising, for the reasons already listed.

Haynesworth rumored to have a deal in place with the Redskins totalling over $100m. Reported on RotoNews as well.

My source tells me to look for a contract that could break $100 million with an average of $15 million to $16 million per. My guy is almost never wrong and Dan Snyder gets what he wants.

This has BUST written all over it. Dude can dominate but only seems to play hard when he wants to. His two best years (his last two) came when he was basically working on a one year contract.

Absolutely. Another terrible move by Snyder.

Even in a recession Dan Snyder still overpays players.

    Bart Scott to the Jets

Kellen Winslow traded to the Bucs.

Scott is a big upgrade over Eric Barton. I like it. Now we need a QB and WR.

He's almost right up there with Al Davis in terms of making stupid contracts. The only reason he's not Al Davis is because no one is as insane as Davis.

And after some of the crap that happened between Winslow and the Browns during last season I'm not surprised he's getting traded. I guess the Bucs view him as an upgrade over their current TEs.

Bart Scott is huge for the Jets. I'm a little perplexed by the Bucs trading for Winslow. Their QB situation isn't very good. Seems that would be their first priority. I guess it depends on how many picks (and what round) they gave up for him, but it seems they have more pressing issues than tight end, a few of which might be helped by the draft.

Heh. I made that post lazily without checking their current batch of TEs. But I also forgot to mention that while they may view Winslow as an improvement, I'm not sold.

    Dawkins will visit Broncos

Safety Brian Dawkins is on his way to Denver for a visit. Dawkins has played 13 seasons in the NFL, all with the Eagles. The Broncos ranked 29th in the NFL in total defense in 2009.
That would be pretty weird if he left. I can't imagine him on another team.

I'm totally feeling the happiness in this thread :P

As The Mike would attest to, Sage brings to the table his unique ISU talent of turning over the ball/throwing picks. But he's still a step up from Ancient Creeky Gus and Tarvis "Not Yet Ready for 3 More Years" Jackson.

Man, the Sage thing has me superconflicted. Best QB to ever come out of my podunk college, finally getting a chance to be a starter...and it's for the one-domed, no-titled, drunk-driving purple woman beaters.

I'll have to ignore him.
    The Mike

It's very very horrible, sir. It's one of those things we wish we could disinvent.
