    Yep, Haddonfield, Illinois.

    October 31st.

    Just after tea time.
    Tea sounds lovely.

New trailer, showing a lot of the long-take that was shown at Comic-Con. Quite a large trailer, actually

Honestly, some of those stiff movements kind of make you realize why the killer usually goes unseen when he's stalking around. I'm not sure how dramatic it is when you get to watch him discover garden shears or hide in a wardrobe or something. But I'm hopeful that the full scenes are better. The full footage was widely praised, if that means much.

I'm gonna try my darnedest to see it this Saturday at TIFF (though I know it'll be one of the toughest tickets to get at the festival) so I feel like I want to avoid more footage at the moment.

But of course if/when I don't end up seeing it I'm sure I'll check out that trailer and have OPINIONS.

Haha, I think Ezee is at Telluride? And I know Stay Puft has attended in the past but not sure about this year's festival, or who else might around these parts.

Yeah, was just at Telluride. Can't see Toronto being a better option, even with the expanded list of movies.

I think this looks really good to me, but then again I have seen the whole series and I recall some of the wretched entries (5 and 6 are...not good). I liked 8 but its a really dumb movie, and while I liked the remake I could not fully get into H2 (2009) although it demands a rewatch. Season of the Witch is the best sequel in the whole series and it doesn't even have Myers.

I'll make a thread soon, but I did get to see it(!) and I really enjoyed it but can already hear people's reservations and will find it hard to disagree with most of them.

Others have already said it, but it really is to the original '78 movie what The Force Awakens is to A New Hope and the rest of the original trilogy. Its worship of the source is both its greatest asset and hindrance.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

Unless that gets some absolute glowing reviews, I'll skip. I assume it'll tackle a supernatural aspect to him though.

I very much doubt that, after the dumpster fire of the first round of sequels.

Last year’s was kind of brilliant, so I’m excited to see what’s next.
