the first one for ps1 actually was a lot of fun, and nothing like arkham city. i think you're thinking of the first two spider-man movie games, which are exactly what e described. the swinging mechanic was fantastic, especially in the second, but the open world stuff got repetitive after a whileQuoting EyesWideOpen (view post)
I feel like it was even earlier for some reason.
It did get repetitive, but it was the first of a kind for me, so it was a fantastic rental.
I'm jonesing for a good game right now. Ended up playing Katamari for an hour as a result. Rollin' stars. Never disappoints. But what I'd really love is to be playing a fun action/platformer with a good weapon system and challenging missions...
Assassin's Creed, Batman, and Ratchet and Clank combined. I'd play that for decades.
Some of The Riddler challenges are waaaay difficult!

I finally reached Borderlands 2 level 50. Been playing it pretty hard lately because I want to play the DLC. ALso they announced a season season of DLC with a new level cap of 72.
Wow, thanks for the info. I have two characters at 61 but haven't played in a while. Played all the current DLC.Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)
I've been playing a lot of Kerbal Space Program. It's a rocket science simulator - build rockets and send them to moons and planets. Very steep leaning curve - because after all - it's rocket science! Any engineers here should love it!
have you played Jak 2?Quoting Sven (view post)
The severed arm perfectly acquitted itself, because of the simplicity of its wishes and its total lack of doubt.
I thought the first was insanely easy, so I bailed on the franchise. Is it challenging at all?Quoting Milky Joe (view post)
It's possibly the most challenging action/platformer on the PS2! I'm pretty sure they actually were responding to the first game's "too easy" criticisms when they were making it. Quoth a Weird Jerk I Like to Read:Quoting Sven (view post)

The Grand Theft Auto stuff in Jak II was pathetic though.
Fun is absolutely the right word. There's some angst, some grit, but it felt like a cartoon come to life, exagerated yet engaging. 2nd Best "superhero" game ever made.Quoting D_Davis (view post)
I'll definitely buy the second one in the coming months.

Some of the "detective" work in Batman: Arkham City is absolutely hilarious. "Let's try to find the secret entrance" says the caped crusader as he looks at a video involving an assassin from the league of shadows open the aforementioned hidden pathway and showing clearly where it is located. Hardcore stuff indeed. Lol, the rest is still brilliant, stupendously good. Can't wait to go deeper into it.

I tried getting into the second game without having played the first and I couldn't get a feel for it. Seemed chaotic.Quoting D_Davis (view post)
I procured Jak 2 and played it a little. Seems okay so far.
Humble Bundle is good.

Dark Souls modded to first person
And more Oculus Rift awesomeness.
Last of Us fanmade film
It's definitely fanmade, but it showcases the game's fighting scenarios well enough I guess. It's alright. Certainly not what you'd want if it were official, but for fanmade, it's well done enough.
New Vegas spoilers, for those who haven't played it *cough*bac0n*cough*.

Heh. I do the opposite.
No multiplayer for Wii U's Batman: Arkham Origins.
Multiplayer for everyone else.
LUL.
How's that Wii-U dev cycle working out for ya?

And I'm sure the multiplayer will be just stellar, too
This is the type of game that doesn't need multiplayer in the first place.
