Goddamnit those giant infested ones hit hard in ng+. Holy crap. Thought I could just waltz in to 5-1 after 1-1 and grab the weapon I'm missing, but I don't think so. Gonna half to level up a bit. Bummer. Need to take advantage of this PWWT for the next week.

Those giant ones are motherfuckers no matter how bad ass you are. Fighting more than one in the swamp is suicide.

I was in Gamestop earlier, and a guy came in asking if Xenoblade Chronicles for the Wii was available used yet. C'mon, it's a month old, are you really that desperate to save five bucks, screwing over everyone involved in developing the game and releasing it in the US, where it's guaranteed to be a niche title at best? :frustrated:

Have you played Xenoblade yet? Is it worth the buy? I know it's getting rave reviews, but I'd appreciate a personal spin.

All I know is that they bring the pain and my Northern Regalia wouldn't even stun them. Perhaps the cleaver might?

Man - Dragon's Dogma looks so much better now. I guess the demo really was a really early build.

Man. I'd been planning to finish my Demon's Souls run before the end of the month, but maybe I need to do it by May 22nd.

    No way! Finish Demon's Souls!

One more week of PWWT, then it's all PBWT.

I hear ya though, I'm getting really excited for DD.

Actually, I'm trying to finish it before the world goes Pure Black. I've been making good progress the last couple days!

The last time I made a major attempt at beating the game was during October's Pure Black event and the black phantoms were more than I could deal with.

The latest Giant Bombcast is hilarious. I wish Adam Sessler had a regular podcast. I really like him when he's just able to be himself.

Beat Mass Effect 3. I had no problems with the ending. In fact, I kinda loved it. I think the fanboy outrage is one of the stupidest things I've ever seen. It's like this is their first exposure to sci-fi and they expect every loose end to be tied neatly. I like how the ending really evolved around the ever-changing themes presented by the series and no matter what door you choose, it shows what kind of player you are.
    Sure why not?

STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI (Rian Johnson) - 9
STRONGER (David Gordon Green) - 6
THE DISASTER ARTIST (James Franco) - 7
THE FLORIDA PROJECT (Sean Baker) - 9
LADY BIRD (Greta Gerwig) - 8

I haven't seen magic in action RPGs of this nature that bad-ass in scope before. Reminds me of the epic scale spells in old school turn-based JRPGs.

Totally. Usually these kinds of games just have you shooting projectiles or something.

That's funny. As someone who regularly listens to the Bombcast and doesn't have any knowledge of Sessler I was like this guy is not funny I hope they don't bring him back.

Most people don't like Sessler. I've always thought he was pretty cool.

I was actually just reading about Matt Damon and he’s like, ‘There’s a culture of outrage.’ I’m like, ‘Well, they have a reason to be outraged.’ I think it’s a lot of dudes just being scared. They’re like, ‘What if I did something and I didn’t realize it?’ I’m like, ‘Deal with it.’

I've never seen him do it. I've pretty much only ever heard him as a guest on podcasts.

    Smart man.

How in touch with current gaming trends are you?
One thing that’s put me off continually is the whole thing where you get these cutaway bits. You have your fun, then you have to go back and be lectured and brought back into the story. I hate that.
