Best sports game? In terms of gameplay it's definitely PES 2005 or Winning Eleven 9 for me.

Exactly. My fantasy football name in my important leagues has always been Tecmo Bo.

I was actually just reading about Matt Damon and he’s like, ‘There’s a culture of outrage.’ I’m like, ‘Well, they have a reason to be outraged.’ I think it’s a lot of dudes just being scared. They’re like, ‘What if I did something and I didn’t realize it?’ I’m like, ‘Deal with it.’

Actually, the sequel NBA Hangtime was even better, because you could create a player. I would always use a werewolf.

    NBA Jam.

    Indeed.

Best sports game I've ever played.

That's why I was wondering if there's anything on current-gen consoles that rivals these.

Me neither. But then again, I never leave the house anyway. I hope there's some DLC made available for DJ Hero from some of the better, more prominent DJs and Turntablists out there, such as Sasha, Cut Chemist, DJ Shadow, Armin Van Buuren, et al.

I am going to have to go with one that has not been mentioned at all. Ken Griffey Jr's Major League Baseball for the Super Nintendo. It is a great throwback to the neo-geo's Baseball Superstars but with much better controls and gameplay. As a kid I went through and renamed all of the players to their actual name, I still have that cartridge too so it brings back a lot of memories when I start up a season.

If ever there was a definitively "classy" video game, it's "Forza Motorsport 3".

Between the kindly British gent who guides you through the menus and the overall slick, clean look of everything in the game, I feel like I should be sitting in a fine leather chair wearing a smoking jacket and sipping on brandy.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

The new Ratchet & Clank is just as awesome as Tools of Destruction, so I guess that means I'm pretty much in love. Basically the same gameplay except for the spaceship tweener missions are now free flight instead of being on rails. I think it's a big improvement.

    As usual, loads of fun.

Yeah, no shit. If I could spin as some of my favorite trance/prog-house DJs, you'd never get me away from the xbox.

Not yet! It's just the demo for the pc. November 19th is the release date. November 3rd is the release date of the demo for the 360.

I ordered a new 360 arcade today. My first lasted me about 3 years, so I hope this one will live a bit longer!

And so I shall. But yeah, A State of Trance Episode 407 is the equivalent of awesomeness. My personal favorites are tracks 1-2, 9, 12, and 14-16. But because of the picture used in the video, it's NSFW.

Stop into a video game store. Almost all of them have displays set up already so you can demo. I think people will be pretty disappointed.
I finally played it today at Best Buy. Fun, but hard even on Easy. But then again it was my first time playing it.

EDIT: And favorite sport translation? Madden 05.

    racing sims are so boring

burnout is the only good racing game series, although paradise was a bit of a letdown

  22. #7122
also to make it clear, i don't like sim games in general. can't stand most sports games, and usually prefer their more arcade-y counterparts (old school nfl blitz, nba street vol. 2, etc)

Yeah, in racing games if my vehicle can't shoot lasers or be driven by a bandicoot I'm not interested.

I've logged in hundreds of hours on the Gran Turismo series.

My racing game preference has the stipulation that turtle shells are involved.
