Leitch should approach it the same way as the Wick film. Grounded, immediate action.

Hire Stephen Chow.

For a split second, I thought it was a misspelled Lynch and figured that would last shorter than my plane flight.
I Ike the sound of that.Quoting number8 (view post)
“What we are dealing with here is a perfect engine, er... an eating machine. It's really a miracle of evolution. All this machine does is swim and eat and make little sharks and that's all.”
Me too. Deadpool 2 needs to be more ridiculous, not more grounded.
I'd rather: Grounded action with ridiculous characters, set-ups, and dialogue.
I'm tired of action movies so drenched in CGI and so weightless that they play as if gravity doesn't exist, like the characters might suddenly float off the ground and into the air.
Stephen Chow would be a terrible fit for Deadpool's snarky detachment. Chow's movies work because he wholly commits to his ridiculous characters and scenarios.
Actually, in a different way you could say the same thing about John Wick.Quoting Winston* (view post)
Give Stephen Chow Deadpool 2 levels of financial and marketing support to make whatever the fuck he wants. Don't waste his incomparable talent on this Franchise Age nonsense.
I want to mention that I was tired and sleep-deprived and stuck in an airport when I wrote this. It, of course, is exactly what I feel, but I wouldn't have felt the need to say it if I hadn't been feeling insane.Quoting Sycophant (view post)

Last 11 things I really enjoyed:
Speed Racer (Wachowski/Wachowski, 2008)
Safe (Haynes, 1995)
South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (Parker, 1999)
Beastie Boys Story (Jonze, 2020)
Bad Trip (Sakurai, 2020)
What's Up Doc? (Bogdanovich, 1972)
Diva (Beineix, 1981)
Delicatessen (Caro/Jeunet, 1991)
The Hunger (Scott, 1983)
Pineapple Express (Green, 2008)
Chungking Express (Wong, 1994)
Michael Keaton confirmed as Vulture.
I thought he dropped out?
"All right, that's too hot. Anything we can do about that heat?"

Rumor- Fox Is Scrambling to Reboot Its X-Men Franchise
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hea...it-hold-945505
Wasn't that the point of Days of Future Past, though?
It was a band aid while they could still use Stewert, Jackman, McKellen, Fassbender, McAvoy and Lawrence... between the two timelines.Quoting TGM (view post)
None of these actors are returning to their roles so what else can they do?
Wait, so the new cast aren't returning anymore either?
Well the article I posted said Lawrence, Fassbender, McAvoy and Hoult are all unsigned and at the end of their picture deals.Quoting TGM (view post)
Jackman is done with Wolverine and is the biggest draw in the movies by far.
Singer isn't returning.
So what other options are there? The movies don't make that much money where you can afford to re-sign all of these actors like you could RDJ.
Make a deal with Marvel Studios, reboot, and bring the X-Men into the MCU?
Losing is like fertilizer: it stinks for a while, then you get used to it. (Tony, Hibbing)
Tom Holland revealed he has a six picture deal. 3 Cameos and 3 Spider-man films, including Homecoming. Assuming Civil War is one of the cameos, that means he'll be in Avengers 3 and 4.
I'm actually surprised they haven't signed him on for more because of his age.
Also just read this theory online...

You got two backwards. The Tesseract is the Space gem and the Orb is the power gem.
Movie Theater DiaryQuoting Donald Glover
Nice catch. I just watched the Avengers and they continued to say it had it's own "power source". Plus they were using it to build weapons and it was used to teleport Loki... I just assumed.
Also in the comics, the purple gem is the space gem.
I feel like they missed the mark on those two.
They felt pretty generalized in terms of their powers - sky portal apocalypses and all that. I did appreciate that the Time Gem was limited to time manipulation.Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)
