Don't forget he's starring in the Knight Rider reboot after this is done. He's definitely on his way up. Let's hope he doesn't Taylor Kitsch it.

Oh right, almost completely forgot about that. It seems to be going much more comedic though, and with Parks being his main gig for so long, you'd think that sort of leading role would've happened quicker.Quoting number8 (view post)
Danny McBride is still supposed to be KITT, right? (Because that's just beautifully perfect.)
Yeah, I almost said this in my previous post. Poor Kitsch.Quoting number8 (view post)

Trevorrow posted a very striking shot on his Twitter page (I think it is vague enough to not require spoiler tags, but I'll use them anyway):
[]
Speaking of spoilers, I'm very glad that not much leaked information has been posted in this thread. Due to the inconsiderate practices of various websites, I was made aware of certain details simply by having my eyes land on a headline. There's one bit that I particularly wish I hadn't come across. Trevorrow and Derek Connolly, who co-wrote the script with him, are understandably frustrated with the amount of unsanctioned information that has been prematurely released (see below).
I think Trevorrow tried to redress this with his recent Slash Film interview. He opened up a little bit about the film and placated a lot of fans, who had rather alarmist reactions to the deluge of contextless information. It's definitely a reassuring interview and further demonstrates that the film is in very sensible hands. Although, in retrospect, it ought to be avoided if you're trying to evade spoilers. I particularly like this bit (which contains no spoilers):
I love his appreciation for an almost antiquated moviegoing experience (he's discussed this elsewhere, as well). This is something I still find myself trying to preserve, despite the fact that the obverse attitude (wherein any and all details concerning a prospective film are to be voraciously sought and consumed) is so effectively facilitated by the Internet. This isn't exclusive to blockbusters, either, as a cursory glance of the Google Image Search results for Inherent Vice will evince (I would recommend against this search, though, as there's no reason to let hastily snapped paparazzi photographs be your first exposure to the visual details and delights of that film). The ostensible plot of the next three Star Wars films was recently leaked, too, right? I find this obsession with purveying and consuming spoilers to be odious.
Of course, Trevorrow is obligated to abide by the rules of blockbuster promotion, so he's offered a few oblique comments, and there are those photos that Dukefrukem posted, etc. These examples are less revealing than they are tantalizing, though. At any rate, I'm going to try to avoid all spoilers for Jurassic World and other films I'm anticipating. I'm probably not even going to watch any trailers.
I still remember a pre-Internet moment when I had absolutely no idea that The Lost World was in the works. So, when that first Superbowl ad appeared on my television screen, I was floored. It literally inspired an ecstatic, jumping up and down moment of disbelief and elation. Following the dinosaur mania that the first film had inculcated in me at a young age, as well as the numerous viewings of my VHS copy, the very idea of an imminent sequel was incredible. It was genuinely shocking and exhilarating at the time. This is still one of my fondest movie related memories.

Mitty, I gotta admit, I have no idea what is going on in that photo you posted (the B&W posted in Trevorrow's Twitter).

The discussion in the Inherent Vice thread, regarding teasers consisting of footage that isn't in the actual film, made me think of this. Jurassic Park's teaser trailer is certainly one of the best I've ever come across:
Also, this is tangential, but the Universal logo as it appears before that teaser (or, the eighth logo in the following image) is my favourite:
I think I like the one with the little plane best, because the plane is roughly the size of a continent, and because that logo preceded the old Uni monster movies like Frankenstein and Dracula.
Looks like a remake of the original, right down to the little kids in peril. I still think the dinosaurs-with-guns John Sayles idea would have been way better.

And this may shock some, but I really like the big game hunter's arc, as predictable as it might be.

That human/dino concept art was fake. ILM said it's not theirs.
My parents took me to see JP while on vacation. I hadn't even seen a trailer. They said it was about dinosaurs or something. I was expecting Godzilla or Land of the Lost. I left the theater heartbroken, for surely Hollywood will never ever top such a film. Ah, the folly of youth.
I think I saw it five times in the theater. Saw Lost World once while in Colorado Springs when my brother graduated from the Air Force Academy.

I saw both Jurassic Park and Schindler's List twice in the theater oddly enough.

JP i too saw in theaters. Thanks dad for taking me and giving me that awesome experience. Still a great blockbuster methinks. Spare a word for the Williams score.

I too experienced a family night event with Jurassic Park on opening weekend. Did anyone else remember that this was also the weekend that McDonalds introduced super sizes with a Jurassic Park theme? It was such a big hit they kept the super size option. Super Sizing was also killed by the Super Size me documentary.
The more you know.

Hell yeah.
Wait there was a discussion about Ron Howard's looks and such? LOL only on Match cut.

That pretty much confirms this movie is going to fucking suck.
Forget all those Sony crossovers -- now I want to see Dino Pratt Jr go up against Evil Arnold Terminator.
