Seattle is awesome. So is Vancouver. (I visited both cities in the same day)

Yeah - Vancouver BC is awesome.

I love the juxtaposition of nature and industry in Seattle.

    http://www.urbandictionary.com/defin...term=sag-nasty

Sag-Nasty is the nickname for the post-industrial, mid-Michigan rust-bucket town of Saginaw.

    You're welcome.

This trend of inviting guys to baby showers has to stop. Now.

That used to be my view every morning during my commute. And it stretched for miles. It looks even worse now, with massive shopping plazas completely empty and falling apart. Luckily, I moved about 15 miles outside of Saginaw in February, so I rarely have to be exposed to this side of things anymore.

    Yikes. That's so depressing.

I always assumed your Michigan looked like my Michigan

Aw, googling that made me all nostalgic.

Nope. Aside from Detroit, I grew up in the worst possible section of the state. Even worse off than Flint. I make it sound worse than it was for us, as my parents were always well to do and we lived in a really nice area, but all of that poverty and crime wasn't far away, and the older I got, the closer it moved to where we lived. We've had close to ten cars broken into in our own driveway, tires slashed while out and about, one attempted break-in of our home, my neighbor had their home burglarized, a man down the road from us was shot seven times by a gang member, etc. I've been dying to get out, and as soon I could I did, but even where I live now isn't far enough. Two more years of undergraduate work and then I'm off to grad school somewhere else in the country. Can't wait, even if it's as close as Lansing or Ann Arbor. Anywhere but here.

East Lansing is my hometown. (That's MSU in the first picture.) I absolutely loved it there. I hear it's been hard-hit with the economy and everything, though.

I don't know about now, but 13 years ago Ann Arbor was considered a nicer town, though.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

I once won a couple of awards for a scene I did (with my then-girlfriend-now-wife) where I played a murdered Trotsky. Italian is much harder than Russian... I feel for ya.

Merry Christmas from the Dark Lord, everyone!

I hope your Christmases are painful and pitch-black like your souls!

But classy Italian, right? I hate those strange pizzeria accents that some actors get.

You want to be Marcello Mastroianni.

Oh, yes. We fortunately have an excellent dialect coach who is helping us avoid that trap. I'm getting the hang of it, but I still have a couple of lines where I'm like, "How the hell do I get my mouth to do that?"

I'd like to see a movie about the production of that Spider-Man musical.

    It'd be called Epic Fail.
