I left my 55 Inch Samsung LED TV in my house I sold this past Summer. Was a beautiful picture. Bough it in 2010 was 10 freakin years old.

Then I upgraded to 75 Inch in the new house.

I need measurments on tv base above 65", because I'm concerned it wont fit on current tv stand. I really don't want to upgrade that.

We have ours on our dresser, just because that's what works for our room.

Came across this pretty cool and recent vid. The monsters look like right out of The Thing although I'm not sure if this is really something that is going to be released or more like a proof of concept.

It's pretty sweet, but since we're doing this, what really gets me riled up is the TV over the fireplace.

Oh man, I'm with you. I can't stand it. I want to look at my TV, not up to it. I've been casually looking at buying a house and if the living room basically has to be arranged so the TV is above the fireplace it's automatically disqualifying for the entire house.

100%. TVs over Fireplaces is so odd. I would rather no TV in the room than a TV over the fireplace. i know houses sometimes weren't built to accommodate that but there's zero reason for a new house to put a TV over a fireplace.

Every TV in my house is wall mounted and the wires hidden. Looks so clean and modern.

Our upstairs 65" TV is mounted on the wall over the faux fireplace. Works fine for us. My monster 82" TV in the basement is on a stand, however, because I don't trust the wall behind it to hold it up. It's about 100lbs.

If the bracket is mounted directly to the studs, you’d be fine. Granted, I don’t have either of our TV’s mounted, since we’ve got the fireplace console up stairs, and the basement console has all the various Nintendo consoles and what not, so the TV’s just sit on those.
“In fact, just thinking about those tender little White Castle burgers with those little, itty-bitty grilled onions that just explode in your mouth like flavor crystals every time you bite into one... just makes me want to burn this motherfucker down.”

I just ordered some wireless N64 controllers to help solve my wire issue.

I don't like wires. BUt understand that older generations of consoles it's unavoidable.

Yeah my parents mounted their tv above and right of the fireplace, AND in the corner, all the way at the ceiling. I fought against every part of this decision but was overruled.

Concur on the fireplace because it's just too high.

Super cool that a couple of the PS4 games I purchased which were released around the same time as the PS5 (and have PS5 versions) upgrade to the PS5 version for free.

The B.S. with this new gen of consoles continues.

The Control Ultimate Edition came out late last year, with one of its big selling points being that people who bought it get a free upgrade to the PS5 version.

Now that game is free on PS+. Not Control, specifically the Ultimate Edition. That tons of people bought as basically a launch title for PS5.

Still playing Last of Us 2. I'm nearing the space needle, together with Lev. Doing things the stealthy way. So far astonishing experience. Love how the writing[

The GiantBomb GOTY podcasts talked about The Last of Us 2 quite a bit.

They really made it sound it like it is a thoroughly unpleasant game to play.
