    The Force Unleashed?

Star Wars could be set to return to the big and small screen with story ideas and characters borrowed from video game The Force Unleashed.

"We're dealing in a period of time that has largely been unexplored by anything. Force Unleashed was the first major story we set in that time period.

"I think we surprised a lot of fans with that story because we showed the formation of the Rebel Alliance and introduce the concept of the dark secret apprentice.”

The game is the best-selling Star Wars video game ever, having sold seven million copies to date. Its sequel is due out on 26 October, 2010. Check out the trailer below for what could be our first glimpse at how further Star Wars screen ventures could look…

The game was flawed, but the story was excellent, and puts quite a twist on the universe, especially Vader. I seem to recall hearing Lucas himself say he considered the game canon...

"The Force Unleashed" was perhaps the best story in the universe since the original trilogy.

I've heard there were some great novels, but I haven't read them.
I know writers who use subtext and they're all cowards.

What's it about? Is this the one where the protagonist is Vader's adopted child?

From what I've seen of the story, I think it would make for an excellent film bridging the two trilogies. A very dark spin on the usual Star Wars story.

Based on the images of Starkiller, I could see Sam Worthington as him.

I guess Vader raises a Force user as a Sith and then sets him on the remaining Jedi in hiding. I have the PS2 version, but haven't played it yet.
    Out of 4 stars:
    The Guest: ***1/2
    Furious 7: ***
The Tale of Princess Kaguya: ***
    It Follows: ***1/2

I think it would be kind of silly to cast anyone other than Sam Witwer.

I was actually just reading about Matt Damon and he’s like, ‘There’s a culture of outrage.’ I’m like, ‘Well, they have a reason to be outraged.’ I think it’s a lot of dudes just being scared. They’re like, ‘What if I did something and I didn’t realize it?’ I’m like, ‘Deal with it.’

Uhh, so reading the source article, this is far from being confirmed. It's just an interview with the game developer who says he's hoping that the TV series would put the character in there somehow.

Should I spoiler my last post? What is the etiquette on this sort of thing? The game has been out for a while, do games fall under the same kind of protocol as movies?

I think I will just to be safe. Sorry if I ruined it for anyone.

Hence the question mark in the thread title. I thought this would be an interested discussion topic.
