Yeah. In the US, it's only available on CBS' bullshit "All Access" service. Outside the US, it's playing on Netflix and other services.

(Personally, I'm coughing up because I can't just not, you know? It's fucking Star Trek on TV!)

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

Wait, am I the only one who has seen either episode? The first one was on broadcast TV last night, for free!

You need to pay AND watch commercials. I don't have TV and commercials is why.

As someone whose exposure to Star Trek is only through 5 films: original, Wrath of Khan, and three new ones, I liked this. Liked the new cast, the debate on right/wrong/morality methods, and how the different species interacted. Not much cared for the purely Klingon parts though, somehow. Looking forwards to next, but I'm curious where Fuller's involvement in this project begins or ends.

I found the way these two episodes were directed pretty annoying. All close ups and skewed angles. Also, Doug Jones's character looks like a penis.

Didn't care much for the pilot. I'll probably still eventually watch it, but it's low priority.

In the last few years I have watched TNG and DS9, and currently watching the original series. One thing I've learned is these shows take some time to gain their footing, but once the characters get properly fleshed out they are able to tell some great stories.

Starts out with a big bang, all-out war, stuff exploding as if it's not quite sure enough of itself in those first two episodes. I'll probably persevere with this, I like the fact Star Trek is back on the small screen, and I like this enough, but there's some staggering stupidity on display in episode 4 when [

That critter seemed to have found its way from the Doom videogames through a Mars hell portal by the way.

So not convinced yet by this, TV has reached too many colossal peaks in the intervening years, but I also hear it gets better.

Eight episodes in, and it's just not up the standard of other shows at all. But in a way, this is Star Trek allright. When it wasn't good. When it was an odd-numbered movie. Except I'd rather watch those again than this. I'll see the season out, I hear Jonathan Frakes directs an episode, but I may not be back for season 2.

I'm four episodes in and this is pretty great. Exceeded all my expectations.

I've never watched a Star Trek series before.

Still not sold on it, but the finale of episode 15 gave me something close to goosebumps.
