I wanted to start a thread for this, but didn't know what to title it. Is there any indication of what its about?
Went through three articles and nothing. Not even any indication on actors.Quoting Skitch (view post)
The “event film” bit made me chortle.
It would be goddamn hilarious if he did a fourth Dark Knight movie like nothing had happened with Batman in the past seven years.
Agreed.Quoting Dead & Messed Up (view post)
Man, now you have me hoping that happens
This would be f'ing brilliant.Quoting Dead & Messed Up (view post)
I read that in a few years Batman will be public domain.
Edit, nevermind. That was steamboat willy. Batman still has 15 years.
Bale returns to Gotham because reasons, JGL is Nightwing or Robin,....a billion dollars.Quoting Irish (view post)
It's been discussed online before, but I would freak right out if we could get a Batman Beyond movie with Michael Keaton playing old Bruce Wayne. Or live action Dark Knight Returns with him reprising the role.
That might....be...the best thing to happen to the character ever.Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)
If I'm going to throw out a guess:
Hiroshima.
No, he's Vulture now. He made his choice.Quoting Skitch (view post)
I can't even imagine how crazy that will get.Quoting Skitch (view post)

Disney will figure out a way to stop this.Quoting Dead & Messed Up (view post)
This immediately came to my mind. Warner could argue that the Batman from 1939 is not actually the same character they have been exploiting for more than 70 years.
Just to clarify, I'd be very excited to see Batman go to public domain. I'm just playing devil's advocate.
I thought Disney already did some pretty shady stuff to keep properties from going public domain?
I dunno about shady because it was out in the open, but Disney did what every MegaCorp does --- they poured money into the system and got exactly the legislation they wanted.
They'll do it again, it'll make the Reddit frontpage but not the NYTimes.com homepage, nerds will squawk, people won't care, and copyright will be extended to ~200 years in the West.
Because really, what are we prepared to do? Protest? Boycott? Do without?
I vote for this option.Quoting Irish (view post)

About 49.5 square miles.Quoting transmogrifier (view post)
In all seriousness, world is about 1000x larger in scale/scope with many more resorts, rides and, is the original Walt Disney park. The behind the scene tours are incredible.
The one thing I am jealous of Disney Land is the Avengers Park which Disney World is not allowed to capitalize on.
Disneyland is in California, was built and overseen by Walt Disney himself. Walt Disney World is in Florida. It was developed by Walt, but opened after his death. He never got to see the completed version. WDW is much, much more bigger and has 4 parks to Disneyland's 2.Quoting transmogrifier (view post)
