Then again I'm in retail so we don't deserve any basic human rights. We should probably have the tap water we drink through the day deducted from our paychecks.

You ok dude? If I didn't show up for work my job would be calling my ass thinking something happened to me. I did tell my manager there was one Sunday or Friday when I almost thought about clocking out for break, getting into my car and just driving to the nearest bar down the road and not coming back for work.

I've been with my boss for over 20 years (I'm 42). I kinda make my own schedule (to a point). As long as shit is getting done, he's not gonna care when I'm doing it.
But last night was brutal. I'm fucking exhausted. Now off to soccer practice!

Speaking for myself, while there are things that I prefer about Red Dragon's creative choices (like its structural differences I mentioned earlier, or Fienne's more sympathetic, tortured portrayal of Dolarhyde), Mann's superior direction of his version pretty much overrides everything else, even though I did feel Dragon had more tension and suspense than a Brett Ratner movie has any right to.
Brett Ratner almost always feels like he is doing an impression of another director.
