I saw Kazaam on its release.

Also, the collected post-Home Alone oeuvre of Macauley Culkin: Richie Rich, Getting Even With Dad, The Pagemaster. Everything except The Good Son, really (caught up with that on VHS).

... All seen in the theater.

Also James Garner in Tank. And Mark Harmon in Summer School.
I saw all of those as well! Man, I thought Summer School was the funniest thing ever...

I saw the first Leprechaun in the theater...and fell asleep.

I also saw Dungeons and Dragons, on opening night.

I can't even think of a movie that I saw as a kid that I would be somewhat ashamed of. I saw The Crying Game in a theater when I was thirteen by myself. That was an eyeopening experience.

I didn't go to the movies very often when I was a preteen - early 80s and all that...parents were very particular about what movies got our money.

So, I think the closest I can come is a movie that came out right after I graduated high school (i hadnt yet turned 18, so it counts!): Look Who's Talking, Too!

Well, the "Avengers" TV show rules fucking hard, so you weren't completely out of line.

I saw it in the theaters (although I was old enough to know better) because of Ralph Fiennes. He showed his bum, too, so it wasn't a total waste of money.
    ...and the milk's in me.

I remember thinking even as a kid that the Avengers movie was so bizarre and abstract (i.e. inept and incoherent) as to be almost fascinating.

    Baby Geniuses.

My visiting grandfather insisted on taking me to the movies, and when he found out Life is Beautiful was subtitled, he insisted we see this instead. And then, of course, he held me culpable for the film being awful. A bizarre experience all around.

I think the previous film we had seen together was Excess Baggage, which may have been my fault.
I'm writing for Slant Magazine now, so check out my list of reviews.

Hopefully I'll have the energy to update my signature soon.

I was dragged to a lot of zero-calorie action junk like Mercury Rising and The Net... cultivated early my keen sense of disposable cinema.

    American Hustle (Russell 13) - C+

Hah, I forgot about this one. Saw this with a friend and his parents before I even knew what the internet was, not that the film appeared to have much of an idea either.
