Predictions up sometime today...
Not very energetic though as I think the Rockies may very well end up in last place this season.

My fantasy team (Maple St. Monsters), 12 team league (I had 1st pick):
C - Miguel Montero
1B - Miguel Cabrera
2B - Jason Kipnis
SS - Dee Gordon
3B - Alex Rodriguez
OF - Desmond Jennings
OF - Michael Bourn
OF - Lucas Duda
Util - Hanley Ramirez
Util - Jason Kubel
B - Torii Hunter
SP - Felix Hernandez
SP - C.J. Wilson
SP - Brandon McCarthy
SP - Mat Latos
SP - Ervin Santana
RP - Heath Bell
RP - Kenley Jansen
RP - Sean Marshall (drafted Madsen, was lucky enough to be online as soon as injury was announced and grabbed his replacement)
B - Javy Guerra
B - Juan Nicasio
Great start from Felix and McCarthy last night (this morning).
Keep an eye on C.J. Wilson and his inevitable mediocre year.
So is Chapman starting or what?
I did my draft on Sunday.
They haven't decided yet. If they can get another arm for the pen I think they'd prefer to have him start and he's pitched well this spring. He may go back to the pen just because they have a ton of young starters and they need the help there.Quoting Ezee E (view post)
It's possible, but he's in the same division, in a more pitcher-friendly park. He was worth the pick at that point in the draft.Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)
Sean Marshall is a good bet. He's their best reliever by far and Dusty just doesn't do closers-by-committee. He picks a guy and gives him every single save opp.
Ooh, I love making yearly predictions in this thread. I'm almost always wrong.

The $2.1 billion was straight cash, homie. No financing.
He's only a minority owners but I read 6 months ago that Magic had liquidated like 400 Starbucks that he owned and had around half a billion in cash. He's done pretty well I'd say.

I really don't have any idea who will win CY Young or MVP this season, and I'm not sure I care.

Anaheim taking it all.
Joey Votto is close to a $200m extension with the Reds.

Good for him. He's awesome and it's nice to see small market teams pay to keep their superstars.
And then Dusty Baker counters the Votto thing with an idiotic move of his own.
It's hilarious that the number one imperative for Chapman this year was 'cut down on the walks' and then he did precisely that and was banished to the bullpen.
Who is their fifth starter? Homer Bailey?
Now reading: The Master Switch by Tim Wu
For the first few weeks anyways.
Latos
Cueto
Leake
Arroyo
Bailey?
Something like that. There was a point in 05-06 when Bailey and Phil Hughes were the 2 best prospects in baseball and both spectacularly failed to live up to expectations.
Better than our rotation....
Dusty is such a bad manager.
Also, the Votto extension probably means Phillips is gone after this year. Not sure who we have waiting in the wings to take over 2nd.
