No reason to assume this so far.
Except for the scant examples of successful franchise films produced back to back.

A big part of MI's charm was is in its rotating directors and its relative rarity. They felt like event films because they only came around once every 3-5 years.

This new direction is an accounting plan, not a creative one. It makes the series into just another mega-blockbuster. Franchises always become less interesting when they pump out too many entries too quickly (eg: Star Wars).

How about it's a creative and an accounting plan? Can't it be both? I trust these guys based on where they're at now. It's easy to look back and comment on how Star Wars has gotten out of hand, but even if you leave hindsight out of the equation, there was just a cynical, checkmark approach to the way they were going after the popular characters and throw them into the standalone movies. Or at least were planning to do that with Boba and Obi-Wan.

I'm not at that point yet with MI. 2021 is three years down the line from Fallout. That's not a bad interval, especially compared to Star Wars. That MI 2022 comes immediately after is in itself no reason to worry. Which doesn't mean these movies are sure to be amazing.
