I dunno, man. HBO has had their successes but they also had a string of high profile duds lately.

Netflix beat HBO at HBO's own game, really, because Netflix doesn't give a shit about individual ratings. They care about monthly-active-users and they sell FOMO. With Netflix, it's always about what was just on and what's coming soon. The only way to get in on the current conversation is to buy a subscription.

HBO had that with "Game of Thrones," but they lost it when that show ended. Their quality control is about to go into the toilet because AT&T owns them now and AT&T wants to push as much media through that pipe as possible.
