Whatever, I don't even want to spoil myself that much by looking at the pictures.

By the way, did you know it was Frank Groshin who originally designed the bowler hat and jacket costume? He hated wearing tights so much he came up with the sketch himself.

According to Twitter, there's some upset that the Riddler doesn't look like his campy green self in The Batman, and I'm like, why would anybody have expected that? I've seen his design and I'm glad they finally gave the character a serious treatment.

I gripe about all the DC Grimdark, but Batman IS grimdark. Riddler should also reflect that.
I also highly suspect he will wear something more Riddler-ish at some point in the movie.

I don't dislike the original costume...I was just looking for a different take for this world.

By the way, did you guys hear about this? Reeves is involved (as well as Abrams, ugh) so it might take place in the same universe as the movie.

Then again, the ears make it look like it's going to be set in a 1930s/40s universe like the Matt Wagner comics.

I do think it's funny that this version of Batman is supposed to be the "dark, gritty, realistic" version in the wake of Nolan's...dark, gritty, realistic version.

The next incarnation of Batman will have him be a serial killer. The Batmobile will be a Civic with nitrous. Alfred will be a homeless Iraq War vet Wayne takes in. His costume is stitched together from Walmart's George brand clothing.

Remember Aranofsky's pitch for a low-fi Batman written by Frank Miller? It was something like that.

Heh, if that had been proposed only ten years later, it would have possibly been greenlit.

Hey even Burton's Batman was the dark gritty version at the time.

Yeah I was thinking that too.

That pitch was pretty crazy. If I remember correctly Bruce Wayne himself was homeless. And schizophrenic or something.

Just give me a totally black screen for 120 minutes with the sounds of bat wings fluttering and fists hitting flesh.

That's an apt description of my bedroom most nights.

    Haha.

I think that's just suggesting Michael Keaton's batman suit?

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

lol I know its Keaton's Batman, but the blood reminded me of the Watchmen crossover in the comics. Or it could just be a Flashpoint reference to Batman with guns, but that had a red background.

I also thought of Watchmen. Hard to believe that's not intentional.

So are they just hoping people will forget they did the same kinda plot point with Deadshot's daughter in first movie?

I think most are hoping to forget the first movie entirely. otoh...using kids against inmates is hardly a rare plot pusher when dealing with inmates in lawyer movies, prison movies, etc etc
