Haven't watched a trailer this many times since Thor3.
Same. Eternals looks bland.Quoting megladon8 (view post)

Also hoping this feeds into a certain animated movie that rules.

So shit starts to happen because Peter needs help from Strange so that that stuff from the previous flick is wiped from existence? Also, I'm no fan of multiverses. Infinite possibilities sure, but will writers harness that trick responsibly? Doc oc literally seems to pop up from a hole in the space time continuum. Because hey why not?! But OK just a trailer I suppose.

It looks like Strange's arrogance fucks up their universe and creates holes in the multiverse. This aligns pretty well with Loki and Doctor Strange 2, which is brining back Scarlet Witch and all the rumors surrounding that film.Quoting Morris Schæffer (view post)

They went a bit too far on the Dr. Strange hair gel. It's like pasted to his head, looking like a young Grandpa Munster.

Is Dafoe back as Green Goblin?

I know it's just a trailer...but the deaging on Ock looks weird. And I'm curious...why bother? Let him be older looking, I think that would be badass. [Shrug] Maybe they're trying to lineup all the ages of the Peter's to show their lines run concurrent?
Early word on Shang Chi is that it's pretty amazing, and has Marvel's first truly great villain.
My expectations are still tempered because they say similar things for every Marvel movie shortly before release. But outside of Blade, this is the only MCU thing I give a poop about currently.

Sure as hell sounds like his laugh in the trailer. If they brought back Molina as Doc Ock and Foxx as Electro, I don't see why they wouldn't try to bring back the others.Quoting megladon8 (view post)

I guess at this point they're more likely to bring back Thomas Haden Church and Topher Grace than they are James Franco. Spider-Man 3 wise. So they'll probably just forget about Spider-Man 3 all together.Quoting Spun Lepton (view post)
Franco's involvement would not reflect well on the production at all, what with the current allegations. But, there are suggestions in the trailer that six villains are appearing: Doc Ock, Green Goblin, Electro, Lizard, and Sandman.
Personally, I would LOVE to see Thomas Haden Church return to the role. The character felt so under-used in Spider-Man 3. Sandman is a terrific character and deserves some recognition.

We can physically see evidence of Oct, Globlin and Lizard (go to 2:25 where Peter wearing a suit gets startled by something in the dark. The brightness is down super low, but it's the Lizard hitting what looks to be an invisible forcefield around Peter)Quoting Spun Lepton (view post)
Eek.
The Russo brothers may not work in the MCU again due to the Johannson lawsuit.
Apparently they were very actively working on getting the pieces in place to do another MCU movie, but they have sided with Johansson and are not continuing talks with Disney because of it.

Meg, that's not at all what's being reported.Quoting megladon8 (view post)
Reading past the headline
This is the article that I read about it.
Johansson has received support from all corners of Hollywood, including fellow MCU stars. Now, it appears the Russo brothers are the latest members of the Marvel family to side with Johansson, and their feelings could lead to the directing duo not coming back to the MCU.
A recent report from The Wall Street Journal broke down Johansson's Black Widow lawsuit and the repercussions of the legal battle. One of the notes included in the article is that the Russo brothers were in discussions to make their MCU returns and direct another movie. However, the Russos and Disney are now said to have "hit an impasse" in these negotiations. The report specifies that the Black Widow lawsuit made the Russo brothers question how their movie would be released and how they will be paid. It is unknown what movie the Russos brothers were in talks to direct, but it appears those talks have cooled, at least for now.
Duke, find something better to do than policing my posts please.
